Clear, blue water of all shades change depending on the time of day/weather. Gorgeous all seasons. My favorite is fall. The leaves are yellow and make a carpet on the trails. The weather is still warm during the day. I swam in the lake all my life, but guests to our house always commented on how cold the water is.... More

In this National Park, where the dramatic views are few and far between -- and you have to drive on side roads and/or hike to most of them -- Crescent Lake is almost like an oasis. No hiking required here to see this pretty blue lake with the forested hills coming right down to the water. Highway 101 goes right... More

Beautiful blue lake surrounded by mountains. One of the prettiest places on the Olympic peninsula. Have a picnic, bring a kayak... there's a lodge on the lake, and campgrounds nearby.

Crescent Lake was nice, but not nearly as nice as a number of other lakes we have seen, e.g. Crater Lake, Yellowstone Lake and Grand Teton Lake. It might have been prettier if the sun had been shining when we visited Crescent Lake.

This lake is a gem found in Olympic National Park when driving along Highway 101. On a sunny day or a rainy day the views are a joy.

After a great lunch at Crescent Lake Lodge an easy 2 mile (rt) hike to see the falls. this is always a great easy hike and the walk through the woods is spectacular. Crossing the stream on one manufactured bridge and on natural bridge leads to the staircase to the falls.

I loved driving around this lake at dusk watching the sun go down. It was beautiful and the colors were amazing.

Crescent Lake is the largest body of water within this park, there are a few boat docks; as well as a couple trailheads nearby. You will see most of it by simply following the main road thru the park

It seems like this is a sure stop for anyone visiting the Olympic National Park. The lake shows a good reflection of the mountains as the water is very clear. There are two road sides that can accommodate at least 5 cars to take photos of scenic spot. When we stopped by the road side to take pictures, a pair... More

Lake Crescent is a wonderful gem in the foothills of the Olympic Mountains on Washington’s Olympic peninsula. We stayed in the Marymere room; a quaint motel-style building on the far end of the lakeshore. The village is quaint with the Marymere room, separate stand-alone cabins, and the lodge as centerpieces. Several hiking trails are available a short walk from the... More
