What a beautiful surprise this lake is! Hwy 101 winds back and forth around a mountain here, and suddenly it looks like Alaska! This is remarkable scenery, with a different vista every hundred feet. Because of the switchbacks in the road, there’s a slow speed limit -- which gives you the chance to drive onto any of the small turn-offs,... more

As you can see from my other reviews we drove around the Olympic Peninsula in July, 2006 and enjoyed the rainforest at Lake Quinault as well as some very special beaches. Only a small percentage of visitors to the Olympic Peninsula go around the Olympic Peninsula and as part of the trip are rewarded by Lake Crescent. Most go only... more

What a treat! My brother and I were driving around the Olympic penninsula when we came to Crescent Lake. Totally unprepared for it's beauty. Unfortunately we didn't have time to stay, but I am definitely going to visit there for an extended stay in the future. more

The sunnier it is the more blue the water is, as soon as you round that corner and head down you see it's wonderful glow. I've never seen such clear blue water in my life. When I went to the Olympic Park Institute on an educational feild trip with a small part of my school, I was amazed at not only how beautiful the lake was, but also by my surroundings.
