This is a beautiful crystal blue lake located in the Olympic National Forest. There is a National Park Camp located on the far side of the lake nestled in the forest offering nice privacy. The Crescent Lake Lodge has a great reputation and is worth a visit. The lake is a good place to boat, fish and generally enjoy the... More

A beautiful lake a short drive from Port Angeles. We have been here several times and its just amazing . There is easy access for boats or canoe launch. the water is on the cool side so some may not like it . I have snorkled here and the water clarity is amazing. Beware of the lady of the lake... More

Every time we visit the Olympic National Park we try to stop somewhere around Lake Crescent to hike or spend some time relaxing. This place has so many little (or big!) trails and views to enjoy. Merrymere Falls trail is our favorite - and doesn't take a lot of time (about 1 mile). If you can, go early morning on... More

Crescent Lake is a spectacular place that can be easily reached by car. It is about a 10 mile long drive along the west shore and their are good resorts on the east shore.

Stopped by to view the Lodge and the lakde during a trip around the Penninsula. The lodge and cabins looked like a place to try, the view is spectacular from the beach, and my friend and I saw people blowing pu their kayaks and entering the water. Entry to this vacility is about a half a mile off the main... More

We hiked to Marymere Falls near Crescent Lake on what began as a rainy morning but changed to a very nice sunny day. The hike was nice with a moderate uphill near the falls. The falls were very nice and only one other couple was there when we arrived. They soon left and we had the falls to ourselves. The... More

Crescent Lake is a beautiful deep blue, the color being a testament to the water’s depth and purity, located right along the northern stretch of Hwy 101 about 18 miles west of Port Angeles making this section of Hwy 101 its most scenic stretch. Facilities include a campground, two resorts, a couple boat launches, a swimming beach, a handful of... More

Highway 101 carves around the southern shoreline of Lake Crescent, a deep, often gloomy lake at the northern end of the Olympic Peninsula. There are facilities including food and lodging at several locations around the lake, including Lake Crescent Lodge. Although Lake Crescent is mostly within Olympic National Park, there is no entry fee. Lake Crescent Lodge serves coffee and... More

I went during the early morning hours and could see the bottom. The calm of this place with the tender laps of water ripples and glimpses of giant dark fish gave way to thoughts of being sunk into the great blue...Its beautiful if you like to reflect life.
