Made the loop in two days wish we had more time, there really is so much to see. Took the ferry from Bainbridge and drove up through Squamish and on to 104 then 101. Stayed in Sequim the first night and good thing too, except for Port Angeles there really are not many great places to stay until you get... More

We spent four days driving the Olympic Peninsula Loop, but we could easily have turned this into a week. Lots of hiking opportunities and wonderful old lodges for relaxing and fine dining. We returned home refreshed and eager to visit again soon!

We drove from Port Angeles to Ruby Beach and the drive is tree lined for the most part limiting what you can see. Cresent lake is awesome and you should spend some time here. On our drive we stopped at Ruby Beach and the Huh Rain Forest and it took pretty much the entire day. The Huh Rain Forest is... More

Good long drive with some dirt roads. You can see lots of water falls and get the feel for the rain forest without getting out of your car if you want. Good roads except the gravel pieces are just what they are gravel.

Would've been nice to know that the Indian Reservation had parts of the attractions closed. Trip was great except the lake we had a cabin on was off limits because of the local tribe had it closed to the public. No kayaking, canoeing or sailing. Beaches along the Washington coast were closed to the public, since most are on Indian... More

Definitely allow yourself a few days to drive this. Keep in mind nearly all of the drive on the western side of ONP does not allow views of the coast. There are also several areas that have been clear cut and are quite an eyesore. Be sure to stop at some of the many beaches and take a short stroll... More

My husband and I went on an all day excursion to the Olympic Peninsula over the holiday weekend. We did it on one day, which was probably a mistake. Be prepared for a loooooong drive. Driving up to Hurricane Ridge was well worth it though. Spectacular views and just stunning. We also went to the Hoh Rain Forest which I... More

Great drive. Stop frequently - especially in Port Townsend, Hurricane Ridge, 2nd Beach, Ruby beach and Kalaloc. There are also a number of Geocache locations that are fun to look for/find
