A Gondola Ride with a awesome view

On the northern route around Mt. Rainier, make sure you stop and take the gondola ride at Crystal mountain Resort. The $25 ride was well worth it as the view from the top is spectacular. If the weather is agreeable, pack a lunch, grab some folding chairs and enjoy the scenery. Along with the breathtaking view of Rainier, Mt Baker... More

We stopped here on our way to visit Mt Rainier and I am so glad we did. It was a warm clear summer day. The gondola ride was fun if you get there early there is no line. Once you are at the top there are a variety of different trails you can take. All different skill levels. Also great... More

I visited in summers so there was no snow but Gondolas were operating. The place was like any other tourist location but was very clean and well maintained. You can take gondola to go uphill and go for a trail there. It costs $22 on weekdays and $25 on weekends. I believe it should be a better place in winter... More

When you take the lift to the top, there is Mount Rainier right in back. WOW! I don't agree with the reviewer that said "best skiing in Washington" Mount Baker is. But it is still fantastic! Like many Washington ski areas, the scenery is beautiful. Even more so at the top.

We took a drive up sometime around early Fall/late Summer with the sole intent of taking our 5 year old son for a ride on the Gondola. I wasn't expecting too much and we enjoy driving, so even if the Gondola wasn't all that spectacular, the drive was still pretty. But wow! The views from the parking lot were awesome,... More

Have been going here for years to snowboard. Lots of runs and chairs to explore, and the views of Mt. Rainier are spectacular. Prices are a bit steep and snow conditions unpredictable. After a good dump the mountain gets skied out very quickly so don't expect to find much fresh powder unless you're willing to hit the back country.

Crystal Mountain Resort is trying to salvage a winter that has nature pitted against them. There is no snow at the base of the mountain. However, with the addition of the Gondola, they can take people up to the summit and they can ski some trails about half way down the mountain. Then everybody must take the Gondola back down.... Was there weekend before superbowl. No new snow. Runs closer to the top was good but to get to the bottom was horrible. Lots of exposed dirt patches and it was like skiing on ice. Food is very pricey. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

What a great place in the heart of the Cascades and looking straight at Mt. Ranier. At the base are two restaurants and hotels and plenty to keep you busy for many days. Take the gondola from 5,000 ft up to the summit at 7,000 ft. and you are looking right at Mt. Rainier like you can almost touch it... More

This was my first visit to crystal mountain. I've always heard goods things and assume runs were to be seen. And they didn't disappoint. First and foremost parking was a easy and fast. They have directors to make it fast and easy in and out. They offer buses to go from the parking lots to the main lodge. The ticket... More
