I'm a novice skier who hits the slopes perhaps twice a year. There are a lot of things to like about Crystal Mountain, including: 1. Most importantly, there is a lot of beginner terrain, including in the middle to upper-middle parts of the mountain. Most of the other ski resorts in Washington state offer very little beginner terrain and it's... More

We had a blast at Crystal. They have a Discover pass which is about half of the full ticket which is perfect for any beginner skier or snowboarder. The facilities were well suited to handling a large crowd, they have shuttle service for each parking area, and the rentals were quite adequate. Although, most people suggest you can save money... I used to live here 15 years ago in Redmond but I never made it down here. I've been to the ski areas north of here plenty of time. After snowboarding Crystal the other day I'm kicking myself for never coming here. The have a way better operation then the others I have been to. Way more put together. An... More

This is probably the closest and best Ski area in the Seattle area. There is of course Snoqualmie Pass but for long runs, and a wide variety of expertise, Crystal Mountain is excellent. There are good accommodations, ski rentals and several places to spend the night. It get busy when we have snow so book in advance

The views were absolutely beautiful. The vast mountain range was huge and completely surrounded you. However I found the mountain challenging. Do not go if you are a beginner or lower intermediate skier. The signs were confusing on the mountain. Most of the time I did not know where I was. The staff at rentals were helpful and agreeable. We... More

Drove up to Crystal mountain resort and arrived at about 10. I was instantly greeted by someone who worked there and right away set us up with a sales person to sign up for the Ski lessons. The process was easy and quick.. ($110 for ski lessons, lift ride and Helmet rental). Our instructor Mark was great! I enjoyed the... More

We went on a Sunday and we were expecting a packed mountain and long waits but it was the complete opposite. If you're getting rentals, the wait will probably be an hour but once you're on the mountain, there is pretty much no wait. The staff are very friendly and efficient. I'm from the east coast and none of the... More

After a bad experience with reservations for another night at the restaurant at the top of the mountain this was redemption. We took the gondola up to the top and were greeted by beautiful weather and the most awe inspiring view of Mt. Rainier ever. And oh, the food at the restaurant was good too. A little on the spendy... We covered Mt. Rainier in two days. We stayed overnight at the Crystal Mountain resort. We thought it was at a perfect location in the park for what we wanted to do. We ate at the Alpine Inn. It was a fantastic restaurant in the park. You can't go wrong staying here.
