It was amazing to see the sunset with the boulders and very unique trees. It as very windy, so a very sturdy tripod is needed. The view was amazing, and highly recommend it- especially during the dawn and dusk.

As you travel through the park, several distinct desert landscapes emerge, each with different flora, fauna, and rock formations. We approached the park from the south, so we didn't see the famed Joshua trees until near the end of our route. We were here just for the day -- not for camping -- and we took a slow, leisurely drive... More

There is a fee to get into the park--it's by carload, not person. Make sure you have a lot of water. They only have water at the ranger station. This park is where the Colorado and the Mojave Deserts meet. It's amazing how different they are. We didn't hike a lot, but decided to drive through both deserts and just... More

I was a first time visitor to Joshua Tree Natl Park and what a beautiful part of the country. The scenery stretches out for miles and miles in all directions and the landscape is dotted by Joshua trees. They are actually huge trees when you get up close. Gorgeous!

I visited Utah back in July and was overwhelmed by the beauty of Arches National Park. Determined to find something similar right in my own backyard, I researched and found Joshua Tree. I have lived in the desert for the last 17 years and had no clue of this marvelous playground. The weather was perfect, and we were able to... More

Huge park with great scenery. Visited the abandoned stamping mill, about a 2 mile round trip easy hike, and worth the effort. Some relics of the past in the form of rusted out old trucks. Boulders of amazing size that if your brave enough to climb you can. The cactus garden is very unique. Can't take everything in on one... More

We visit this park every few years and although we've visited many times we always find something new to wonder at. This time the desert was in bloom so we saw lots of flowers, both on the Joshua Trees and the other plants within the park. Absolutely beautiful! Each time I leave this park I with I had spent more... More

We motorcycles through this Parc. Great roads, very respectful drivers. Many attractions for all ages from hiking, to wildlife watching or camping. Very clean and well maintained.

Beautiful National Park, still Joshua Tree is rather desolate in the winter months. Hiking, walking along the trails is easy and you're more or less alone, so you feel like it belongs to you. At one stopping point, we hiked and although there were two other vehicles in the area we never saw anyone else. With warm mild temperatures in... More
