The Garvan Woodland Gardens, University of Arkansas is a beautiful serene place to stroll among the trees, plants, flowers, pools, etc. The walks are generally well maintained (although some construction was in progress during our visit) and numerous signs point you to the next attraction. We spent more than an hour wandering through and had a great time even though... More

Garvin Gardens in Hot Springs is maintained by the University of Arkansas. It is a great place for a walk on a sunny afternoon. The overall trail is about 2 miles long. You are surrounded by flowers, ponds, waterfalls and beautiful scenery all the way around the gardens. Special events allow you to purchase some of the plants or bulbs... More

Garvan gardens is very close (less than 14 miles from Hot springs national park) to Down town Hot springs. A very secluded, well maintained botanical garden with flowers of all seasons and their fragrances hidden inside the University of Arkansas, Hot springs. The place has beautiful waterfalls and a small lake it runs into which are very relaxing. The floral... More

This is what walking in the woods should be! Garvan Woodland Gardens is a fantasy come true for everyone who loves the idea of going for a long walk in the woods, but would prefer to avoid things like poison ivy, snakes, brambles, etc. We live nearby and visit often, so we've had plenty of opportunities to enjoy Garvan. These... More

We visited Garvan Woodland Gardens on week-long vacation to Hot Springs last year. This was by far the best part of our trip. It was so great, that we came back a second time before we left for home. There is a children's garden that is totally amazing. It was like traveling to Narnia! They also have an outdoor train... More

Spent 2 1/2 hrs. walking the gardens. Absolutely beautiful. Don't miss the large koi ponds and buy the fish food at the entrance - even if you don't, just walking up to the edge of the pond send the fish flocking to you. The attendents were helpful and very proud of their garden, pointing out the special places. Be sure... More

This is a top notch Woodland Garden. It is owned by the University of Arkansas and it is a learning environment for the landscape architecture department. It keeps getting better and better, and is always being expanded. More
