Although an early start to the day, it is well worth it! What an experience! The sunrise at 10,000 ft was Spectacular. Tim our guide on the way up made it fun and entertaining. The bike ride down was fun as well. 23 miles all down hill except for about 500 yards of peddling total, so a very easy bike... More

I live on this road and I see so many fallen bikers and traffic accidents, and I hear of fatalities all too often. Don't do it! If you value you and your families life do yourself a favor and just take a nice drive up, watch the sunrise and go for a hike. Get plenty of rest the night before,... More

I use TA when planning activities. I almost used another bike company but our hotel strongly suggested bikemaui. The negative reviews were largely complaining about the staff. Untrue! The staff was very nice but also very strict toward safety. We got their early and watched people come in. It did not surprise me that the staffs attitude went sour the... More

Amazing...such a simple word however from Tim picking us up at 2:00 AM in LaHaina and being so pleasant to giving us a great tour, everything was awesome. He is a photog too and took great pictures of all of us throughout the tour. Great knowledge of the volcano and the park and really eased MY MIND that I could... More

This is a self-guided tour to start. Don't let this scare you ... I am over 60 my wife is over 60 and we both have done it - three times with is company!! Last year we did it with another couple both our age, and he has a pace maker. So enough of the sell job on age. The... More

We scheduled a sunrise trip in May and unfortunately a storm rolls in during the week and the weather was looking questionable. The day before we called to make sure the trip was still on -- and they stated they seldom cancel the tour. In watching the local news the evening before there were storm warnings on the north shore... More

It is unfortunate that Weather does play a factor the activity on occasion. Our INTENT is to give our customers the best opportunity to participate in the activity. In our 20 years of operation one of the many things we've learned is that we cannot predict the weather. There have been many instances when weather seems to be less than... More

The early morning stunk but you have to get to the top BEFORE the sunrise! The driver kept us awake and informed on the way up the crater. We got there in plenty of time to get a good spot for the sunrise. I wish we had more time to explore up top in the daylight is my only complaint,... More

We did the sunrise special. Report time of 3am is tough but do it your first day before you are adjusted to the time change. The long trek up the crater is informative. Tour guides are great. It's very cold so bundle up, but make sure it all fits in a backpack as you will shed layers as you bike... More

Haleakala Bike Company It's almost impossible to describe how happy I am that I chose Haleakala Bike Company. I booked at the last minute because I wasn't sure if I really wanted to do it, but I'm glad I did. The ride down Haleakala was incredible. Kimo picked me up across the street from the cruise pier and provided pleasant... More

We received a great tour and had a blast! Everyone was very nice and informative. Loved being able to come and go as we wanted and not having to follow a guide during the bike ride. It was a little scary for our 9 year old at first, but I believe that was due to low blood sugar since we... More
