Tour starts in Haiku. Great experience and great views! Very non strenuous ride, as it's almost entirely downhill. We did the tour with the drive right up to the top. As previously mentioned, wear layers, including pants. It's cold at the top, but gets warmer as you ride down. Bring snacks in your backpack too! Tour guide Bill has a... More

We had a fantastic time on our trip down Haleakala with Haleakala Bike company. First of all, however many layers of clothes you think you will need to watch the sunrise, triple it. It's cold, windy, and a lengthy time. You're able to leave whatever you don't want to wear on your bike in the van, and they'll have it... More

Only God could provide the day we had! No winds that morning, a clear night sky with so many stars, clouds inside the crater before the sun came up, a chant by Cory, and the best tour guide ever..Alika. Remember to dress warm, wear good shoes with heavy socks, stop at the lavandar farm for a scone and some tea... More

we met at the bike shop where we were entertained by a gentleman with lots of great information about many topics. We were provided with helmets, bikes, backpacks and a rain jackets. We were driven up 6000 feet where we unloaded and took a very exciting ride down the mountain. Next time I will make my boyfriend go to the... More

I went with two friends and we all had a great experience. We arrived at 3:30 AM (which was difficult because we were going on 4 hours of sleep) and the bike people offered us coffee, windbreakers, gloves, pants, etc. We were forewarned about the freezing temp at the top of the mountain, so we had our own toe warmers,... Self guided tour: Upon entering the first thing you hear is the obnoxious condescending tone of the guy checking you in. Barking orders at the customers, treating everyone like cattle, telling everyone to get their coffee of his counter. Hey if you don't want coffee on your counter, don't offer it! Maybe he thought he was funny, but at 3:30... More

We do offer a TOUR, which is what we provide. Our guests pay for a service, we are happy to provide that tour service. The information we share is both useful and interesting to most people. Likewise the directions and instructions we give our guest are welcomed by most. It is important for us to be through with this information.... More

I contacted this company almost two weeks prior to my trip to make sure that they could provide me the experience that I wanted. They never responded. So, a couple days before my trip, I called to make sure they could put my bike pedals on their bikes. While their phone message said they could help me at the time... More

It is our policy to not modify our fleet bikes in anyway with outside equipment on our Trips. WE will adjust seats for our guests to accommodate various heights, but aside from that, no modifications should be made to the bike. No brake swaps, handlebar adjustments, or pedal modifications. This is for various reasons. From us not being able to... More

Great service at a reasonable price. If you have a car and a willing driver just rent the bikes (~$40ea bike rack included) and do your own thing. That way your driver can drop you at the summit parking lot. Then bike up the paved path about 30' of elevation to the very top (10,023') to start down. If you... More

Took the self guided "Express Trip" because I had been to the summit a few times before. We had an awesome van driver(Fred) who was very information on the trip up. He gave us information about things we were passing on the way up as well as a lot of interesting general information about Maui. We were dropped off at... More

We did this tour in early Feb. It was very cold and very windy at the top. Although the company do warn you of this I suspect most people are still undressed as most don't bring the winter woollies when they come to Hawaii. I had two layers of merino, a down jacket and the wind jacket they provide and... More
