We arrived at the Haleakala Bike Company at 3:00 am, after getting up at 1:30. Our plane was late so we'd had only three hours of sleep. We were dragging. Tim happily greeted us and put everyone in a positive mood, for being so early in the morning. On our trip up the mountain, Cory told us a lot about... More

The idea of getting up at 2 AM on our first morning on Maui was not what one might think as the best way to start one's vacation; but it was so worth it. By doing it on our first day in Hawai'i, we took advantage of some residual jet lag. The weather was perfect (albeit cold before sunrise) and... More

Our family chose Haleakala Bike Company for our trip to the Crater and were thrilled that we did. My husband and I and our 4 children ranging in age from 14 to 9 all had an excellent experience. We chose this particular company because they were one of the only ones that would allow a 9 year old to bike... More

We did the sunrise express tour, but sadly it was cloudy and drizzly. It was sort of cool seeing the clouds drifting across the crater, but it was mostly covered up and we did not get the clear view that everyone says is awesome. However, it was clear at our staging area where we started our ride, and we really... More

This was one of the highlights of our trip. I was concerned with our 11 year old doing this ride but once we made it past the first few miles she became more comfortable. The majority of the ride is downhill and the only few up hills could easily be walked with the bike if necessary. The only downside is... More

I did sunrise trip, and I recommend to all who are on Maui. This company offers great hosts, great tools (vans, clothing for ride down on bike, bikes) they tale good care of you. And i appreciated that we could do the ride down he hill in our own timing and not as guided tour.

We had a great time in our tour. I was a little worried about the tour being too tough for me as I have been doing chemo treatments for 3 years now but it was an easy ride. I did get off and walk up small hills twice but it was no big deal. We stopped and had breakfast and... More

My 11 year old daughter and I rented bikes and did the entire 10k feet bike ride. The good: 1) They made the entire thing possible with bike rack, bikes, helmets, jackets, backpack, map, first aid kit, etc. They really made it a one stop shop - very convenient to execute. 2)They had good variety of gear and had gear...
