We met at the Bike Company instead of being picked up which gave us more time to sleep in. Check in was at 3:00 am. They gave us all the equipment we needed (rain gear, helmets, backpacks, and bikes even for my husband who is 6'7"). Our tour guide Corey was fantastic! I enjoyed his corny jokes even in the... More

Friendly shuttle guides and a must-do while in Maui. Forget the companies with guided tours, this self-guided tour is the best. Go your own speed (fast or slow) and enjoy the sights and the ride!

Against the thought of such an early start to our day (1:30 am), my wife managed to convince me that this would be fun. She was right......the Haleakela Bike Company is the way to go. I hate group adventures and much prefer to go at my own pace with things and this company gives you that option. They give a... More

We started our day being picked up at 1.30 am for our bus trip up the crater and then our bike ride down. They supplied our wet-weather gear, bikes, helmets, backpacks and yet we were still cold waiting for the dawn - we should have taken all our warmer clothes; it was freezing. Sadly the clouds rolled in just before... More

I got my teenaged son to wake up at 1:30 a.m. for this activity and he was actually happy about it (afterwards, not at 1:30)! This is a very cool and unusual adventure and the Haleakala Bike Company was the perfect host. If you are a mainlander, I recommend you do this trip the day after you arrive, since you'll... More

I just went on the bike ride with my by and it is one of the most amazing experiences of my life. Getting to the Haleakala bike co location is real easy. We went in and got a backpack pants sweater and an adjusted bike (depending on our height). The workers are very friendly!! Suuuuper friendly!! The driver that took... More

We are so-o happy we signed on for the Sunrise Special Tour with Haleakala Bike Company! I took my two nieces and sister to Maui and we were blessed with perfect weather the entire week. We had the Haleakala bike company pick us up at our condo in Kihei and it was early! (1:45 AM) as we needed to be... More

What a fun time! We arrived a tad early and the friendly people at Haleakala Bike mentioned we might like to visit a quaint restaurant next door till it was time to check in. It was yummy! We did the ride down on our own without a guide and only a couple of quick stops. The people working there were... More

Everyone involved in this company was great. Took my family for our spring break back in March. The staff was in a great mood that morning and really accommodating as I needed an extra large bike since I am 6' 5". Scenery was incredible and our bus ride to top was great. Our tour guide had tons of great information... More

My husband and I visited Hawaii (Maui/Big Island) in May, 2013. This was one of our highly anticipated activites. The staff was fantastic, wanted to make sure we were very well informed and safe - so there were "no owies in Maui." Although early, the sunrise was amazing, and we got there early enough to get a prime spot for... More
