Unfortunately the clouds did not cooperate on the morning we chose to watch the sunrise but Tim was on his game and kept us entertained. He kept us engaged despite the 2AM wake-up to meet them at 3AM. As it was raining, Tim started us a little lower so we would not be miserably wet. I did not think of... More

A very good experience all around, which was obviously helped by ideal weather, a clear view of the sunrise and the freedom of a self-guided tour back down. I’m sure my review might be a little different had it been raining or if visibility had been poor, but fortunately that was not the case. The staff were decent and our... More

We did the sunrise bike tour with pick up and loved it! We decided to do this on our first day in Maui so as to not be too tired from the time change. we got picked up at our hotel at 1:30 by Tim. He was really friendly and kept us entertained by sharing history of the Island as... More

The sunrise was not visible the tour guide was aware of this prior to leaving the shop . We recieved no actual instruction on coasting and using the hydrolic brakes . The guide told multiple srories how many people hs crashed . He also told inappropriate off color jokes.which added to the uncomfortable atmosphere

My siblings and our spouses decided the best way to experience a bike ride down the Haleakala Crater was for us to rent our own bikes so we could start at the top. So we thought that you could just send someone to rent the bikes for you, you can't. My sister called me 40 minutes before closing time to... More

We had the pleasure of having Cory as our tour guide. Although it was 3AM he kept us from remembering how tired we were with an impressive string of jokes as he drove us up the mountain.

This was a great experience! The ride up was fun with Tim (I think his name was) telling good stories and jokes mixed up with directions for the return. Bikes was good and well maintained. Helmets were a bit smelly and worn.

We did the crate tour and bike ride. it was great. Kimo was our guide up the mountain, and kept the tour fun with one joke after another. He ever taught us the local flowers "sida'da'road" The bike down was really fun. I thought the big helmets seemed like overkill until you start going 40 mphs down 20+ miles of... More

My husband and I went to Maui for our honeymoon last week. We really wanted to see the sunrise on Haleakala and thought it would be fun to bike down. I have to say, this was probably my favorite thing we did out of the whole 12 days we were in Hawaii! The Haleakala Bike Co. was awesome. My husband... More

My husband and I absolutely LOVED our tour with Haleakala Bike Company. It was easily one of our vacation highlights. Take the Summit Deluxe tour. It's worth the little bit extra, to go to the top of the crater. Kimo, our tour guide, was excellent. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and volunteered to take lots of pictures of us! The bike... More
