Cades Cove has got to be one of favorite Smoky Mountains spots. We always visit in August, but hope to go in the fall from now on since we don't have to worry about school schedules. We see at least 3 bears each time we drive through Cades Cove. I love black bears & Cades Cove never disappoints. We usually... more

I recently went camping in Cades Cove with some old buddies from college. We stayed three nights in the Cades Cove campround and it was great. Bathrooms are very clean and close by, no electricty or showers however. They do have a policy that all generators must be turned off by 10pm, which is great so you won't hear them... more

My family and I recently took a vacation to Gatlinburg and decided to drive over to Cades Cove. We went in late October. The road leading into CC is so beautiful. The leaves were still changing and had not yet fallen. When we arrived at Cades Cove, the entry parking lot was crowded. We decided to stop and use the... more

We loved our drive through Cades Cove. Traffic was a bit heavy, but I understand improvements are being made to the loop road this winter. more

Great idea to have a loop road like this with wildlife viewing available. We were disappointed not to see any bears, but we saw tons of deer and turkey. It truly is like hiking inside your car. When we went it was a Saturday afternoon and it was pretty packed. Traffic went smoothly, however, please adjust the expectations that you'll... more

Cades Cove is just a hidden paradise especialy in the Winter. Snow on the mountain tops. Bucks posing for that perfect picture, and staying at a nearby hotel like Riverstone Lodge 8 miles away in Townsend, Tn. In the Winter it is a lot less crowded and at times you have the Cove almost to yourself. If you have never... more

I love Cades Cove and it's what I look forward to when I'm going to visit the Smokies. We had never been there and decided to go. Not knowing how long it was going to take or anything we headed out. Halfway through it we were VERY thirsty from stopping everywhere and walking to some of the cabins. People were... more

We (family of 4 ages 25-58) took a ride to Cades Cove on Thursday August 6th. The sun was out full-force today but the temperatures remained in the upper 70s (perfect weather). The ride to Cades Cove from our hotel (we stayed in Cherokee) was a long one (about 2 hours). We stopped a few places prior so it was... more

We'll let me start with, I'm from Arizona and I don't see green trees much... so this was absolutely green and lush. A beautiful drive and it was about an hour drive for us, only stopping once at the mill and slowing to see Deer and Turkey. It's about 20 minutes from Knoxville Airport and I highly recommend for a... more
