This was a nice drive through a valley between magnificent mountains with interesting historical stops along the way. The park rangers were very nice and informative. Their gift shop halfway through the drive has many great souvenirs including yummy spicy jarred pickles and beats. They also have beautiful wooden Christmas ornaments detailing scenes from the park. This would be a... More

I dearly love going to the mountains and exploring nature, and after many people recommending it, we decided to try Cades Cove. Like all great sites to see around Gatlinburg, it is ultimately ruined by the amount of people who congest the roadways. The drive to Cades Cove took roughly an hour, and the views were amazing. Once in the... More

We've been coming to mountains for 20 yrs, and we always hit the loop. There is always something fascinating to see. Bears crossing roads, Deer playing with each other, Turkey & fox. A MUST visit for anyone wanting the mountains experience.

A very pleasant drive through the valley with various Historic houses and churches all along the loop, all slightly different and all worth a visit. The wildlife was obviously on holiday when we were there but this did not detract from the beauty of the valley. Even with a lot of traffic there is no real hassle as most drivers... More

This was a very cool ride through the Smoky Mountain National Park! In information we read before going there people reported seeing bears. We figured it was a one in a million chance. Well, we were luck! As we drove through the park we came across a couple cars pulled over on the road. We stopped to see what was... More

Every time we visit Gatlinburg, we have to do the Cades Cove loop tour. It is 11 miles and every inch has something beautiful to behold, from the general scenery, to the pioneer cabins to the wildlife you are bound to see. I would recommend this little journey and take your time to stop and smell the roses. They even... More

Cades Cove is beautiful and nature is abounding. We saw 2 bears last week and the neatest part was how far up in trees they go. I never knew how high they went. Amazing. The other thing that I love is that the rangers that work there are so great at answering questions. If you take the time you can... More

The breathtaking views of mountains and cove are made even more spectacular in the early morning when mist and clouds decorate the mountain ridges. Deer and bears are abundant, especially this time of year, and the historical structures are an added attraction. The 11-mile loop drive around the cove can be interrupted at various places with original log structures dating... More

Cades Cove has an 11 mile one-way loop road that gets clogged at times so be prepared to drive slowly or sit and wait a while when wildlife is spotted. There are several churches and log cabins to explore along the way. The cemetery at the Primitive Baptist Church contains the graves of several of the earliest residents in the... More

While Cades Cove didn't provide the same beauty we saw in other parts of the park it did give my family a wonerful sense for the history of the area. It's also pretty darn scenic with nature abound. We saw deer, bears, turkey, horses, and a snake! The only issue is all the traffic with plenty of inconsiderate drivers who... More
