The scenic view was so beautiful, all of us were in awe!!! The drive was smooth, several pull out areas to get out of the car and fall in love in nature again and again. We drove from Sugarland visitor center down to Cades Cove, and the route was beautiful itself. A "must see" if you are going to the... More

Absolutely beautiful valley. Driving is easy . We went on a Thursday morning so the traffic was light in the morning, and the visitors were fewer. We hiked to Abrams Falls and to a few other houses etc fir a total of 8 miles. We got to gave the falls all to ourselves for about 15 minutes, but passed a... More

We drove through Cades Cove early one morning this past spring. We saw several bunches of turkeys and deer. Since it was spring we saw several Toms strutting. We walked around the old mill site. We then drove through the national park to enter Gatlinburg from the other side.

The tent sites are clean and well groomed. There are inadequate bathroom facilities. There are no showers or any showers to rent nearby. The nearest town where there are a few restaurants and a food store is Townsend, Tennessee, about fifteen minutes away. The Cades Cove 11-mile driving (or bicycling) loop starts nearby. A good hike not far away is... More

Long, beautiful, winding road through the mountains! Saw plenty of deer & turkey, but no bears. Ran through fields with our children, blew bubbles, visited historic sites, and took plenty of pictures. Such a relaxing place. :-)

Went here in the high season so it was rather busy, great wildlife though! A family of black bears ran across the path about 10 yards from me. Worth stopping a few times on the drive through to walk around and enjoy the scenery.

On our first trip to the Smoky Mountains, alot of friends told us we had to do Cades Cove. I now know why. It was beautiful. We went there early in the morning. The drive up to the 11 mile loop road is beautiful. The creek runs along the road pretty much the whole way. There are places to pull... More

So I get so excited when I come to this area because of Cades Cove! This is an auto tour that spans 11 miles in the high mtn pasture land of the park. If you want to see wildlife up close, u have to make some time (saw 5 wild turkey and 10 deer today!). Here are some tips: it... More

Great way to see what life was like a long long time ago. My 8 yr. old had plenty of questions. There is a lot of wildlife and beautiful, natural landscape. Really great drive or spend time exploring on foot or bikes. Well worth the drive.
