Can understand people's comments about hating the traffic jams but-----Cade's Cove is beautiful just the same. You drive around the perimeter of the pastures and fields with views of the mountains across the small valley. We went twice. The first time we watched a thunderstorm rise up over the mountains and roll into the cove. It was great. Some suggestions... More

We ventured this cove twice on our week long trip in thr Smokies. It is a long an slow moving auto trail with views and landmarks to see. I would recommend the little booklet that tells about the loop as there are many old churches and mills and the booklet explains a lot about the people and places along the... More

I've been to the cove many, many times over the last 30 years. It's a must see for anyone visiting the Smoky Mountains. Go on-line and read about the history of the Cove. There are many interesting stories that will enhance your visit. Get there early and enjoy the solitude of the Cove many never experience. Keep in mind, the... More

This is an 11 mile round trip with many stops to see the cabins of the 18 and early 1900's. We have been in 4 times and see something different every time. Go early in the morning and see the wild life.

A beautiful drive! The real Smoky Mountains as they were before the Park. A visit to a lost time. Take your time and plan on lots of stops. A little hard to get to, but not to be missed.

Cade's Cove has been on our "to do" list for a few years. As we finally had the opportunity to visit over Labor Day weekend and were not disappointed. This is an amazing opportunity to see a historic community with out commercialization. The historic buildings along the 11 mile loop are all worth the stop. We especially enjoyed visiting the... I really cant complain about our trip to the beautiful area of the national park called Cades Cove... The only downfall I believe i found was that it took a dang near 3 and a half hours to travel there and back. WOW.. Will not do it again. The scenery is great with beautiful pull offs to take amazing pics... More

We visit Cades Cove every chance we get. It is so quite and peaceful - soothing and healing. It is a beautiful little valley nestled in the Great Smoky Mountains. You can drive the one-way loop road and look for wild turkey, deer and bears. Or just enjoy the view of the mountains and meadows. There are old homesteads, churches... More
