Barker-Ewing Scenic Float Trips, conducted entirely within the unspoiled natural environment of Grand Teton National Park, provide the best opportunities for viewing wildlife and the Teton Mountains in the Jackson Hole area. This protected section of the Snake River flows swiftly in places and otherwise meanders peacefully through many side channels, affording our guests an unique river experience. Our guides provide interpretation of the natural history of the park and its wildlife with a depth of experience to make every trip special.

This float trip was fabulous...and I've been lucky enough to have experienced lots of rafting trips....this was certainly calmer...we did the early morning trip. The scenery was stunning and we were able to see eagles and eaglets - as well as moose, beavers and other wildlife. The best part of the trip was the local knowledge and teaching skills of... More

Had a marvelous time. Saw wildlife including moose, raccoons and many bald eagles along the river bank. Saw many beaver lodges. Amazing to see how the Snake River keeps changing. Took many pictures along the way. Loved seeing the fall foliage, the clouds and the Tetons.

We've floated with Barker-Ewing before but the trip we took with family on Sept. 25th was the best we've ever had. Our river guide, Joey Sarciletti, talked for the entire trip with information about the river, the area and numerous other subjects that was new to us. Our relatives raved and raved about what a "perfect" day it was and... More

My husband and I took this float trip down the Snake River as a way to add more experience to our visit to the area. We are really glad we did. It was fun, we saw the mountain range from a different perspective and it was just relaxing. The scenery was amazing and the whole experience was serene and enjoyable.... More

The two of us took the early morning float trip down the Snake River. Our guide was Grant and he was amazing. Around every turn he had a story to tell about the wildlife or the history of the area or the flow of the river. Being Jackson-born, he really knew his stuff and was entertaining as well. We were... Took the evening float With Forrest as the guide. He did a great job of getting us comfortably down the river. Interesting sights at every turn. Didn't see any large mammals but eagles, ducks, and beavers filled in. This is a good way to see the river, learn some of the history of the region, and at a comfortable pace.

A trip to Jackson Hole, Yellowstone and Grand Teton has been on my bucket list for some time now. Our trip was so much fun. I looked to trip advisor to make plans for Grand Teton activities and the Barker Ewing Raft trip down the beautiful snake river had excellent ratings. They also had frequent updates regarding what types of... More

Our float guide, Travis, is a long-time employee who made our trip so enjoyable. He knew exactly where to spot wildlife and we saw 5 bald eagles on our trip. No question was off limits for him, and our group (6 of the 8 of us were together), asked all kinds of questions about wildlife and the area and he... More

A 8 a.m. on a calm, sunny morning in September 2014 we started our 2 hour/10 mile float trip down the Snake River. Barker-Ewing was prompt to meet us, and other passengers, at the parking lot where we had been instructed to gather, and bundle us all into their van (with boat attached) to take us to the launch site, some...
