We had few expectations when we stopped at the chapel near Manor's Ferry but decided to walk over and take a look. This small area shows the history of the ferry that used to be used to cross the river before the bridge was built. A short trail takes you round. They also have the original general store run by Menor and when we visited a fresh batch of ginger cookies had just come out of the original stove they have and... More

“historical place with fantastic views of the mountain”

This was our favorite stop on a bus tour we took while in GTNP. It was an easy walk to the different building you can visit in this area. You can see a replica of the ferry Menor used to take people across the river. A cabin is used to display the wagons and sleds used in the early 1900's.... More

this is an easy, paved walk around the historic menors ferry area. we picked up the pamphlet for the self guided tour, which gives a lot of interesting information about each of the buildings and features along the path. there is a small store with some jams, etc, a mock pioneer living area, a working ferry, an exhibit of vehicles,...
