We stopped mainly to visit the small church located here but decided to do the trail while we were there. The day we visited was cool and rainy which appeared to limit the traffic in this area. When we got to the cabin/store we were the only ones. The gentleman at the store was most helpful and provided us with... More

If you like history and seeing how the settlers lived 100+ years ago, you'll enjoy this stop. We spent about an hour walking around the area. Found the reconstructed ferry, water filter shed, and houses worth the detour.

We stopped to see the Chapel really, but decided to take in this site as well & were glad we did. Lots of history in a very peaceful & scenic location - worth including in your day

This is a beautiful spot to see a historic location! There is a old store that has a fun person to talk to and find out about the area. The store has a lot of unique items!

History at it's best. Seeing protected and restored to original is awesome. Help volunteers with a purchase at general store.

This is a short walk to an interesting historical exhibit. It has splendid views of the Tetons and an ice cold root beer waiting at the cute little store.

So few visitors to grand Teton national Park imagine what happened here from the nineteen twenties to 1950. Step into the maud noble cabin and read the wall displays. Step into time in millimeters cabin and country store. She the stagecoaches that served Yellowstone and other transportation implements. You will be rewarded.

It is like stepping back in time. We stopped at the general store and bought a couple bottles of sarsaparilla. Nothing like listening to the river and enjoying a bottle of sarsaparilla and thinking of the past!

We stumbled upon this. We has the good fortune of arriving right when ranger was begging a guided tour (2:30--only one of day). I thought we'd listen for ten minutes, but we stayed the whole time. Our kids 4-14 liked it. The ranger was very personable and made it very interesting. It's worth a stop--the ferry ride was a nice... More

This was a fabulous stop! The gentleman in the general store was so kind and helpful. I also took the ferry across the river, what a cool experience that was! Ps and I finally saw a moose while on it :)
