We originally were going to just turn around on this road because a black bear was close by but missing it decided to go up it. Lots of wildlife on this day and good views of the valley from the top. A few spots on the way down you can also see the Tetons. Nothing spectacular but good anyway. Mule... More

We enjoyed Signal Mountain's overlooks but I was a bit disappointed you could not see any lakes from the top. The overlooks would have been better on the other side of the mountain.

A delightful drive to the summit of Signal Mountain will reward you with 360 degrees of magnificent views. Enjoy the views of the Grand Tetons, as well as sweeping valley along the Snake River. You have even get to enjoy a variety of wildlife including deer, grouse, and bear.

We loved our September road trip up Signal Mountain. The activity provides beautiful falls hues and the pull outs provide stunning views of the prairies filled with antelope and elk, as well as the magnificent views of the Grand Tetons. Note to dog owners...they must be on a leash and are not allowed in most parks spaces. Exercise some consideration,... More

Take care going up the hill and stay on your side of the road. Some folks are too busy looking at the scenery to drive safely. Take your camera and some good insect repellent if you go in the summer. Great free attraction.

We saw a black bear (with a honey muzzle) along the road to the summit one morning. The view from the Jackson Point Overlook (near the summit) can be the glorious morning light on the Teton Range..

The road to the top is in good condition, paved and wide enough (barely) for two vehicles. We went at dusk to see the sunset and weren't disappointed. We drove to the top to see the views of the valley and Snake River. On the way down we stopped at the other parking lot and walked on a trail out... More

We drove this road to the top to see the valley. We could see a person coming down the Snake in a kayak. We could see a herd of bison in the distance. It doesn't take long to get up to the top, so why not stop and have a look? The views are great.

I had a list of "must see's" for our trip, and this was listed "optional", but it was one of the most breathtaking vista's we saw!

unless you are bird-watchers, you can skip this one if you don't have much time. on top of mountain, you can see the plains, and that's about it. (super good 4g signal since there is a phone tower near the bathroom)
