We decided to ride up to the top on our last day in the Tetons. And I'm glad we did. We saw black bears just grazing along side the road. When you finally get to the top, the views don't disappoint. It does take a little long to make it to the top, and the road is narrow and winding.... More

It is a long drive to the top but worth it. There are two viewing places. We did not stop at the first one, went on up to the summit. Wonderful views of the valley and wildlife and Grand Tetons. We brought our binoculars and saw antelope and lots of elk.

fabulous views of the entire valley and park. We could see forever. We saw elk and pronghorns in the valley. Bring your binoculars.

The view in the drive are nice, there are much more spectacular places in the area; however, the wildlife that we saw in route to the summit was worth the trip. We saw two black bears eating huckleberries along the side of the road and several varieties of Hawks .

This is nice slow curvy drive to the top. There are two stops here, one neat the top and at the top. Both are worth the time to stop and take in the views.

I took this scenic drive at 4:30 in the morning. It was well worth the early wake up call. The sunrise was beautiful. We didn't see many animals but the pink sky with the mountains was wonderful. One thing to note, there were millions of mosquitos so make sure you have bug spray.

We absolutely considered this to be THE place to guarantee wildlife sightings on our trip. We woke up before dawn to travel the road and view the sunrise from the top. We almost missed it because we were so captivated by all of the elk and deer we saw on the way up. We also came back in the evening... More

This road twists and turns ever higher and higher. There are a couple of stops for views. From the top you can see for miles, its incredible. We visited here after the long cascade canyon hike so took the opportunity to get out the camp shower and freshen up looking out over miles of wilderness, breathtaking.

An easy excursion off the main road. We actually found the lookout prior to the end of the road (second lookout) to provide the best views of the Tetons from the mountain - and a great picnic place if you don't mind cozying up to a bush. Feel free to do both stops as they are both unique.

This road is narrow and very winding. If you travel this road…drive slow….I am surprised there hasn’t been more accidents on this road. There were a lot of drivers driving way too fast for these roads. People have to understand you are on vacation and you do not need to drive like a road demon. Sit back and enjoy your... More
