This drive is not for the faint of heart! It is a long and winding road up a mountain, but the reward is a spectacular view of the valley.RV's and trucks are not allowed. The road is totally paved, but there are a minimal amount of guardrails, etc and no lights, so this is a definite daytime activity.

This a very windy and narrow road up the mountain. There are three places to stop to get really great views of the mountain range and of Jackson hole and the more flat portion of the park. Absolutely worth the drive up and down the mountain.

It is a winding paved road with two stops that provide great views of the Grand Tetons, the Snake River and all of Jackson Hole. There is no charge, and there are short paved walks from the parking lots to the viewing areas. There is a modern Port-a-John at the top parking area. The view is great at just about... More

We went up yesterday, and due to clouds the view wasn't as spectacular as we had hoped, but we did see a large bull elk and a black bear on the road down!

This is basically a scenic drive. There are two places to park. When you reach the first place, there is parking but not much else. The views are great. But keep going - the road climbs a little higher and at the top, there are better views, parking and an outhouse if needed. You can see the Grand Tetons on... More

If you have an opportunity, please go up to this overlook. You can see for miles around. There was only one other couple at the outlook at the time we arrived (early morning) and only one vehicle was coming up when we left.. The restroom facilities needed attention. It was worth the time to drive the short distance.

Easy short drive with an easy short walk to an awesome overlook at the top. Easily done with 4 kids ages 3-12. Drive took about 20 minutes & was well worth the amazing views at the top.

It was delicious. We ate there several times and it was always good. Get the nachos it will feed an army. Fried fish was to die for, staff was sweet helpful and friendly. The little birds were busy building nests right outside the window we were sitting next to.

Make sure you visit both the South and the North parking lots at the top of the mountain, as the views are different. Amazing place to view the beauty of the valley below.

Great vantage points. The drive to the peak was no big deal, it had an outhouse however. But, it was the lower vantage point that offered the best views of Grand Tetons. Do it for the excitement and beauty!
