I have come back to this place for more years then I can think of. The cabins are a bit rustic but that is the charm about them. They are clean the water is hot in the showers and the smell of the pine just outside your door is wonderful. My children from when they were young till after college... More

Follow the crane foot prints to stunning vistas and an amazing picnic spot at Hermitage Point. Ask the Park Rangers about this hike, which features lakes, beaver lodges, mountain views, wild life and an amazing rocky beach with stunning views of the Tetons. Be sure to pack lots of water and food for a relaxing picnic at Hermitage Point.

Quiet and peaceful. Clean and comfortable cabins. No wifi in cabins but it's available in the office. It was on the cooler side while we were there and the small heaters kept the cabin nice and toasty.

We had some fun hikes at this area, and it was close to Jackson Lake lodge. The views from the lakeside trails were some of our best photos on the trip.

Stayed in a cabin and it was nice. As it was fall, and it got down below freezing each night, the heater worked hard to keep us warm. Need to remember to bring warm clothes for the cabin, slippers for cold feet, and such. Lovely location.

We stopped here only briefly but the village offers a good store and visitor centre. It also has a great marina for water-based activities. We'd certainly consider using the village if we had the relevant craft. Tours are available from here. The store at the marina has a good range of quality products and souvenirs. But the viewpoint alone is... More

to pretty views across the lake. The visitor center is nice and features Indian/Native American art. They also have some locally made jewelry for sale.

Hermitage Point Trailhead starts from Colter Bay parking lot. It consists of a network of trails that go by Jackson Lake, Swan Lake and Heron Lake. Nice walk for a couple of hours or for longer if you are not in a hurry.

We stayed in a RV pullthrough site in loop A just behind the grocery and laundry buildings. It was a nice site and would have been a 5 star for all the amenities and activities but for 2 things. They charge $4.25 for a shower which is by far the most expensive fee we've ever seen in our camping travels... More

I led a group of 39 Scouts and leaders up the GTNP and we used Colter Bay as our anchor point for the trip. We stayed at two paces in the village and ate at both dining areas. So here is a quick review of Colter Bay Village. 1. Campgrounds: we used the group site where each site could have... More
