My family and I enjoyed the beauty surrounding us while taking a boat trip on Jackson Lake. We sat outside on the back of the boat to get a real good view, unfortunately if you do decide to sit in the back you won't be able to hear the tour guide and my get a headache from the diesel fumes.... We rented a runabout for 2 hours, and the views on Jackson Lake are terrific. Saw two bald eagles and had a chance to dock at one of the islands for a swim. A highly recommended experience and then had the outdoor BBQ buffet at Jackson Lodge next to the swimming pool. It was a great experience.

My husband and I drove from the North end of the lake to the South end. Every single stop we made, we got a better and better view. This lake is simply breathtaking with the mountain range in the background. I highly recommend making every stop you can to get different views of the lake. Each view is different and... More

Great location for canoeing...enjoy the peaks from water level. Standing up paddle is okay, if not too windy.

Great boat ride. The Captain and the narrator were spectacular. The dinner is already set up for you on Elk Island. Tables are set, and bbq's are cooking. Buffet style. Steak, trout, potatoes, fresh fruit, cowboy coffee around the campfire and a great apple dessert! The setting is beautiful, right on the edge of Elk Island, Resident deer walking by.... More

Along the highway, there are mulitiple stops for picnics, photos, or just the occasional sigh and awe of the majestic peaks. Jackson Lake lodge and Colter Bay Village are on the eastern edge of the lake off the highway. If you don't stop and take a look around, you definitely won't see the beauty of the area.

Lake views are stunning . Too cold to swim in as we were told since it is a glacial lake, but beautiful views of the Grand Teton Range.

As you approach the turn turn off for Colter Bay, be sure to turn West(the only direction you can go) and head down to the lake. They have tables along the lake shoreline for a picnic and a great place to relax before you head on into Yellowstone or Flag Ranch. Swimming is allowed, but only for those who can... More

Stay in the lodge with a view...book a year in advance. The Mural room is the best...both food and view. The view is the number one view in Jackson Hole
