If you take the ferry to the base of the canyon (it departs from S. Jenny Lake visitor's center all day long--if you miss the boat, don't worry as another will be there in a few minutes), the trip to HIdden Falls is only half a mile, and Inspiration Point is half mile beyond that. A two mile round trip... More

After taking the boat across Jenny Lake, we hiked the trail to Hidden Falls, Inspiration Point, and then into Cascade Canyon. The canyon was definitely the best part of the hike and well worth it. We were there in late June, so there was still snow in the mountains, but we were hiking on a warm day, so the streams... More

We hiked in early June so there was still snow patches. At the start is a Hidden Waterfall and an Inspiration Point of Jenny Lake. We took the boat across the lake to save time and it was a pretty ride across. Highly recommend this hike of about 7 miles round trip.

We took the ferry across Jenny Lake on the way over which cuts off about 2 or so miles to the trailhead. However, on the way back, its well worth traversing the walk back to the Jenny Lake visitor centre around the lake. The last ferry leaves the trailhead site for the return to the visitor at 4pm so if... More

A wonderful day hike from Leigh Lake. Take a picnic and plenty of water and enjoy the spectacular views of the glacier lakes below. If you're lucky, you will also see lots of wildlife, don't forget your bear spray!

The climb to Inspiration Point is not easy; the trail is rocky, but the views back across the lake and up the canyon are incredible. Hiking further up the canyon is easier and to be between the peaks is an imposing experience.

You have to walk a ways into the canyon to see how the canyon got its name, but it is totally worthwhile. We also got to see a Moose from pretty close distance.

I don't want to sound like a broken record but if you've read more than a few reviews for Cascade Canyon you've already heard this: If you make it all the way up to Inspiration Point don't turn back after checking out the view. The best is yet to come and you've already come through the most strenuous part of... More

Whatever time you have, hike into the canyon. We had to turn back after about an hour and a half, and I so wish we had more time to go farther! The trail is shaded for the most part, and flat after the inspiration point (we were told, for about 3.5 miles). You are walking in a forest along a... More

Well marked paths and informative signs. It was beautiful! We saw a bear and able to take lots of pictures. The boat ride over on Jenny Lake was well organized and nice.
