Really scenic hike

Well worth the hike. Family of 7 made this trek and we are not hikers. Pictues really don't do it justice. Plan on spending 1/2 to 3/4 of a day and pack you lunch.

I hiked all the way to the trail fork point for the South Fork and Lake Solitude Trails, about 4.5 miles from Jenny Lake. However, beyond the second big rockslide area (maybe around 2.5 miles into the trail), the views are not as good as on the first half. So my opinion is that there is no need to hike... More

This is one of my two favorite hikes in Grand Teton Park. Most people stop at Inspiration Point, but with just a little more uphill hiking you find yourself in the canyon which is quite flat. Unless you are camping (permit required) back in the canyon, this is an "in & out" hike. The waterfalls are on the south side... More

Loads of wildlife around and it is a popular route but you still feel that you are in the middle of nowhere and on your own - apart from the bears! which we did not see

nice trail that is the way in to the Teton Crest Trail from Jenny Lake and Hidden Falls - take the boat and you can make it in and out in a day of serious hiking

We hiked from Jenny lake it was a long day of hiking but worth the views and relaxing time. Wanted to see moose but it was our day. Saw a lot of other small forest animals.

A wonderful hike. Granite, trees, wildlife, water....what more could you ask for? It's a popular hike, so there will be people. But, it is a must do.

We got to Inspiration Point and decided to keep going another mile and were rewarded with a leveled off trail and beautiful canyon views of the peaks on either side of us. The work was done in the first climb and the rest was desert!

This valley is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen and I don't say that lightly. The stream running through it is placid at some spots and roaring at others. If you can get past the crowds of people hiking to Hidden Falls and Inspiration Point and keep going, it is worth the effort.

Every so often I have a dream I am hiking here again and come to the part in the trail where it opens up and you see the canyon in it's entirety. The vista is hard to capture in pictures and can only be truly appreciated in person. It is awe inspiring and honestly on of the most beautiful places... More
