I have hiked this trail a couple of times. It is gorgeous and not as strenuous as some of the hikes in the area. The views are great. You may see a bear or moose on the trail. Te hike beyond Inspiration Point is also wonderful but becomes more strenuous. This is hike is a must if you are visiting... More

I hike cascade about once a year for the past 10 years and it never gets old. After the first mile of heavy traffic, the canyon becomes an amazing back-country adventure, and a great start or end of several overnight hiking options. Day hike to the forks. Overnight for a loop to Open or Paintbrush. For the intrepid: Hike Cascade... More

If you can make it up to Observation point, continue into the Canyon. Autumn colors and views of mountains just magnificent! Moose live by the river as well. More

We have hiked Cascade Canyon numerous times. It is a gorgeous hike, with multiple points of access, though ultimately it is an in-and-out hike on a single trail. We have usually hiked from String Lake, which is very nice when near the creek, but gets a bit dull. and it adds several miles to the hike. This year we took... More

We took the boat across Jenny Lake and hiked to Hidden Falls, Inspiration Point, and continued up the canyon. All were well worth the trip - wish we had left earlier so we'd have more time! Ferry stopped running at 6 PM - it would be better if it ran later so hikers had more time to go up the... More

Nice not too strenuous hike around the bottom of Jenny Lake and up the canyon past the hidden falls and inspiration point. Saw three moose during the hike. More

This is a beautiful hike that is much better than the hike around Jenny Lake. We were led to think that the Jenny Lake hike was a nice hike. This hike is a perfect 10 while that hike is a maybe a 3 or 4. I recommend you take the boat across the lake and back and save your time... More

We took the ferry back and forth. We ate our sandwiches at the boat dock which put us between ferries unloading people so we were the only ones on the trail when a black bear crossed the trail within 5 minutes of us starting to hike. Hidden Falls and Inspiration point were very picturesque but Cascade canyon was stunning. A... More

Only hiked 45 minutes down the trail - meaning 45 minutes beyond Inspiration point. Had planned on going all try way down but was raining all morning and the preceding evening, so didn't start trail until 11am after getting off the ferry across Jenny Lake. Trail info: after going about 15 minutes from Inspiration Point you some out of the... More
