We visited this viewpoint on the West Rim of the Grand Canyon at the end of the day just as the sun was setting. The sun brings out the colour in the rocks making for a spectacular view as we expected. There is not a lot more to say other than you must not miss this viewpoint.

One of the more popular spots, thus more crowded. However, the views here were spectacular, and it's one of the first places on the bus loop where you can begin to see the Colorado River. We didn't stay here for sunset (preferred the Desert View side), but many were raving about it. During the day, come by more than once.... More

If only viewing the canyon from the rim - make this a stopping point -- the bus takes you out and back easy to get to -- when on the point look for the #7 on the canyon walls below - a natural formation - some say God put it there to tell us it is the 7th wonder of... More

Look up on the internet when the sunset is and structure your dinner appointment at El Tovar maybe 45 minutes later. Take the Red Line to Hopi point, shoot your shots and leave slightly before the crowd to catch the first bus home. Note - it is not only about the sun, but also about the rocks in the late... More

Do not miss these points. Each has its own unique lens to show you the GRAND Canyon. But go with a relaxed mind and not for mere site seeing.

Be one of the first to see the Canyon bathed in morning light by taking an early shuttle to Hopi Point! You can see bits of the Colorado River down below and as the sun comes up the shadows and peaks change colors -- beautiful spot

You can't go to the Grand Canyon without seeing the opposite side of it. Take a short drive and you'll come to Hopi Point and see the ruins. A great view of the canyon and a great view into the history of the park and those who lived there long before. I highly recommend it for anyone who visits the... More

As the shuttle bus pulled up to the Hopi Point viewpoint, the driver said. "I recommend you get off here. This is what you came here for, folks." Hopi Point is huge expansive views that are among the most famous of the park. It is one of the most photographed areas of the whole park. I would recommend using a... More

Excellent numerous views and easy walk on dirt trail between stops on the Red Shuttle. Taking the shuttle between walks is a good way to cool down in the 85 degree heat
