This is the first lookout on the Red route bus trip where you can see the Colorado river at the bottom of the canyon. Worth a stop. if you get off at the stop before it is an easy short walk to Hopi and you can get back on the bus.

Stayed over in Grand Canyon on our tour through National Parks with Archers Cosmos (excellent tour). Took a beautiful bottle of Malbec (bought in Juniper Cafe, Cody) up to Hopi Point, sat on the edge of the rim, dangled our legs over the edge and toasted the sunset. Great friends. Magnificent, unobstructed view. Simply gorgeous, and so was the wine.

At first I was a bit hesitant to go to Hopi Point for sunset given its popularity (and almost everyone on our shuttle bus seemed to be heading there). But I think because we were there on a Wednesday evening in late October, it wasn't as busy as I thought it would be and we were able to find our... More

Nice little gift shop/tourist trap. Restoom facilities. Drinking water available. Great views. Fascinating story of how the gift shop was made to look like a hermit's encampment.

We decided to wake up early our first morning at the Grand Canyon & we took a shuttle out to Hopi Point to watch the sunrise as we'd read this was a great place to watch it. We were not disappointed. Very beautiful colors coming off the canyon walls & very few people were there with us maybe 5 at... More

Nice viewpoint especially during dawn and sunset. I also recomment Hermet Point, Mather Point, Yavapai Point, Grandview Point.

Was told that this was one of the best points for sunset. Maybe it was not a good day but prefer yaki point. To get here you have to take the red bus and they are very good at picking you up after sunset.

I would say this is one of the two best viewpoints on the South Rim (Desert View would be the other). Hopi Point provides stunning views that are some of the widest on the entire rim. It would be a fantastic place to see the sunrise or sunset too because of its expansive views.

This is one of the many "scenic views" that exist on the South rim of the Grand canyon - take your time and see all of them! Each on offers something special.

Arrived early morning. The view from this point is incredible. The colors of the canyon are different at certain times of the day. We loved this viewpoint.
