In mid-September, 2008, I took a solo hike down the Granview Trail, around the eastern side of Horseshoe Mesa, down to the Tonto Trail. I continued west on the Tonto to the South Kaibab Trail, and on down to Phantom Ranch. While I thoroughly enjoyed this hike, I must add a warning. Do not attempt this hike if you do... more

In June 2007 we visited the Grand Canyon for 3 days. The main hike I did was down the South Kaibab rail, along the Tonto trail and back up the Bright Angelt trail. The Tonto part of this hike was fantastic with the most amazing views, the trail was easy to follow all the way and was about 4 miles... more
