If you are going to the Grand Canyon without doing your research ahead of time this is where you want to start. Or if you just want some general information about activities like hiking or the Junior Ranger program this is your starting point. The people are extremely helpful and very knowledgeable. They also have some great information boards right... More

This is a great location and structure, but didn't have much to really explore. What made it worse was the movie that provides an overview of the Grand Canyon was not operational. That was really disappointing since it was during the peak Summer Season.

The South Rim of the Grand Canyon is Amazing. We rode our motorcycles along the main route and stopped at many of the popular spots along the way to enjo the gorgeous views. There are numerous hiking trails that can be explored if time permits. October 2011.

Looks like you are on another planet. The centre is well equiped for visitors. there is also a hotel there should... More

We arrived at the Grand Canyon South Rim with our 5 and 7 year old with no idea what to do or where to start. Although this was in July there was ample and close parking spaces available. The rangers were all very friendly and available everywhere and the bus system so easy and convenient with different options available all... More

We came in June. I've written a review on Mather Point, and this is sort of the reverse image. I hated the crowds. Hated the parking. Not blaming the US Government, you can't really pave some of the Canyon to make more parking. Also hated people's "me first" attitude in a small, very crowded area. But when you've been in... More

Bus system is something to be proud of. The crowds otherwise would be impossible to manage. Well equipped with facilities.

I pulled into the parking lot at 7:45 on a Tuesday Morning......the doors to the visitor center opened at 8:00am...no problem...I walked around and was anxious to start my decent down the Bright Angel Trail but was not sure how to get to it. Then I saw the employee come out to put the flag out so I walked up... More
