Because our original Grand Canyon plans (hiking to the bottom) were thwarted by illness, we had a last-minute idea to take a helicopter ride. We debated long and hard over whether it would be worth $175 per person (for the North Rim tour) for a 30 minute ride. In the end, we decided to give it a shot- we were... More

We arrived to the Grand Canyon Airport (South Rim, just 1 minute before arriving to Tusayan) by the afternoon. Our idea was overflying the Canyon in the last trip of the day, in order to get the sights of the red rocks during the sunset. It was a sunny day, and occasionally, a little bit windy. We went to the... More

I researched a lot of tour providers and decided on Papillon, I was not disappointed! It was fantastic! I was really nervous about my first time in a helicopter but the flight was smooth, the pilot was professional but easy-going and the overall experience was simply amazing. One of life's must do's!! Landing in the bottom of the Grand Canyon... More

We booked a helicopter trip over the Grand Canyon online. The online reservation time was booked for between 10-11 am. However, when I immediately called to confirm, I was told that the flight time we booked didn't have enough seats for all of us and we would have to choose an 12 noon or 3 pm flight time. When I... This is a once in a lifetime bucket list experience. We got the Grand Celebration tour. Don't sweat the price, we viewed it as money not gambled but spent on a lifetime of memories, pics & great stories. We got picked up in the best limo we've had in awhile. There was a short safety video & then headed out.... More

We recently took a trip to the south rim and took the Papillion helicopter tour. I am a little nervous with heights and was somewhat hesitant to take this tour - but I am so glad I did it. It truly was phenomenal. I suggest opting for the extended tour in the EcoStar (the Grand Kingdom tour.) I am so... More

I felt like we were giving a Trip Advisor review the whole time we were there! "Wow, the staff are really friendly, this is worth every penny, what luxury!" The Grand Canyon is impressive in itself so it's hard to mess that up...but you could with rude staff and a shaky junky helicopter. That was not the case at all!... More

We decided we were only going to do it once, so booked for the 45-50 min trip. Bearing in mind you lose over 15 mins getting to/from the canyon, flying low over trees, if you chose the 25 min trip that's not much time left over the canyon. We reasoned the longer trip cost about half as much again for... More

My dad took a helicopter tour over the Grand Canyon. I didn't go because I was sick. He said he had a great time. The tour lasted about 1.5 hours. He was picked up from the hotel. He said the tour in the helicopter of the Grand Canyon is the only way to see it because you get great views... More
