The Canyon itself is breathtaking , truly pictures do not do it justice. The El Tovar lodge is 'the place' to stay in my opinion, if you love legendary style and th historic feeling only and original can provide, yet with modern amenities and excellent service.

All in all, the Grand Canyon experience is excellent. They are well equipped to serve the public. The place is beautifully designed and maintained and the transportation system is efficient and convenient.

1. The Grand Canyon village is located on the south rim of the Grand Canyon, and has a number of hotels, lodges, restaurants, and historic attractions for the millions of annual visitors to the Park. 2. If you are staying for a number of days, you may want to reserve a room at any of the 6 hotels in the... More

Loved it. You couldn't be closer to the Canyon, plenty of hotel and restaurant options. Everyone is there for the same thing and so generally people are respectful of the surroundings and the people that are enjoying them. The atmosphere and feel of the place is lovely. I can't wait to go back! How does this not get 5 stars... More

I was surprised by the reasonable prices for souvenirs and sundries at this tourist geared locale. The staff seemed well educated on their outdoor gear and other priducts and were able to make good recommendations. My friend chose a style of cup and there was only one in her preferred color, a worker walking by over heard us say that... More

We loved our three days at the GC. Took a tour one day, explored one day on our own and enjoyed the whole time. Everything is easily located and not too crowded at this time of year. Weather was lovely.

Staying at the lodge within the village made everything else very convenient. Tours, food, seminars, parking and watching the sun rise or set over the canyon, not to be missed.

Had a great time walking around the village. A nice distraction from the canyon. Interesting art and history amid the shopping.

It had been a while since my last visit. The Village has been modernized with a "wow" factor. The visitor center is now more user-interactive. New concrete and designs add to the decor. After walking the trail to get here we were able to ride a free shuttle bus back to our lodge. Very convenient.

yes, you pay alittle more, but its better to pay a little then lose alot of time going to the closest shopping area. Also, we always forget at least one thing. Good variety of services.
