We loved our three days at the GC. Took a tour one day, explored one day on our own and enjoyed the whole time. Everything is easily located and not too crowded at this time of year. Weather was lovely.
Staying at the lodge within the village made everything else very convenient. Tours, food, seminars, parking and watching the sun rise or set over the canyon, not to be missed.
Had a great time walking around the village. A nice distraction from the canyon. Interesting art and history amid the shopping.
It had been a while since my last visit. The Village has been modernized with a "wow" factor. The visitor center is now more user-interactive. New concrete and designs add to the decor. After walking the trail to get here we were able to ride a free shuttle bus back to our lodge. Very convenient.
yes, you pay alittle more, but its better to pay a little then lose alot of time going to the closest shopping area. Also, we always forget at least one thing. Good variety of services.
This is a must see/stay place to go and see while you are visiting the Grand Canyon. There are plenty of parking.

Grand Canyon Village is the place to stay when visiting the south rim. You can't get any closer than this - literally. Be very careful. "Your safety is your responsibility."
