Located in northwest Arizona and arguably the world's most popular (and splendid) natural tourist attraction, the massive Canyon is 277 miles long, 18 miles wide, and at its deepest point, is more than a mile from rim to river. Most of the Canyon lies within Grand Canyon National Park and is managed by the National Park Service. It incorporates three geographically separated areas: the South Rim, the North Rim and the inner canyon.

Serene and beautiful. What can you say about the Grand Canyon that hasn't already been said? I will say that the North Rim gets about 1/10 the annual visitors that the South Rim gets. That makes it much more relaxing and enjoyable. Scenery is greener and the elevation is 1000 feet higher on the north rim. Well worth the effort... More

Try to get to the park early so that the line at the entrance is not as long. If you show up after 11:00 you could be in line for a long time. We saw the line of cars backed up for two miles through the town of Tusayan on the day we left. No telling how long those people... More

The size and grandeur of the Grand Canyon lives up to its reputation. There's a lot going on in the Village, on the South Rim, without the area feeling very commercialized. You can walk a couple hundred yards along the rim trail and get totally away from the buildings. There are a lot of people, though.

First, this was the BEST family vacation we’ve ever taken! -I did lots of research on TripAdvisor.com and there is tons of info out there! That’s how I picked our hotels and determined how long to stay in each place. -We flew into Phoenix b/c our trip started with a wedding in Scottsdale. If you fly in/out of Scottsdale, go... More

We went to the West side and did the Glass Bottom Skywalk. It was amazing with incredible views. We were there 2 months after it opened. It won't let me put when we were there but it was actually May of 2007. We want to visit again and see more areas of the canyon.

An attraction that should not be missed. Incredible beauty. Breathtaking. Lots of other great attractions close by. Perfect to stay in Flagstaff as a base, and take daily adventures. Spent one night close to Grand Canyon.

when you see the Grand Canyon in pictures, it's absolutely NOTHING like that in person. The scale, the grandeur and the awe are just not to be expected. This place will forever change you.

We made reservations with All Star Tours a month before our trip to the Grand Canyon and everything they told me on the phone they honored. They picked us up at our hotel in Flagstaff exactly at the pre appointed time. From the very get go our guide Laura Beats was very friendly and informative. Words cannot describe the majesty... A must see in your life ! Go with friends or family, they have junior ranger programs for kids but I think adults should attend the program too. Landscapes are breathtaking ! Take good shoes and hike one of the trails, it totally worth it !
