Located in northwest Arizona and arguably the world's most popular (and splendid) natural tourist attraction, the massive Canyon is 277 miles long, 18 miles wide, and at its deepest point, is more than a mile from rim to river. Most of the Canyon lies within Grand Canyon National Park and is managed by the National Park Service. It incorporates three geographically separated areas: the South Rim, the North Rim and the inner canyon.

I wish everyone could experience this place. It is otherworldly. Gigantic in front of you like it could swallow you up. Yet makes you feel like the smallest thing on the planet. "Loud" in terms of the sensory impact. Yet one of the quietest places I've ever been. This place is sacred and you will discover why if you take... More

When leaving the park, we thought about filling the gas tank. BAD IDEA!! There is one gas station in town and they advertise a high price...but it is for diesel, gas was over a dollar a gallon higher, and the next station is 40+ miles away!! Plan ahead!!

One of the most amazing sites I've ever had the good fortune of viewing! The views were so breathtaking, my jaw literally dropped! The majestic beauty of this canyon is awesome and that's an understatement! I want to return to camp and raft the Colorado River! We hiked some of the areas which were not more than a few feet... There are no words to describe the views at this location other than breathtaking. It's not until you are close to the edge that you realise the depth and width of the canyon. There are various places to view, but the best views in my opinion were from the helicopter on our decent down in to the ravine and travelling... More

A much needed vacation and escape from the daily grind. With fuel prices at an absolutely affordable rate, it's a good time for a road trip escaping the snow and ice.

We loved our recent visit to Grand Canyon NP. We spent 4 days here a few days after a snowstorm. Didn't hike down into the canyon due to icy trail conditions at the top (and we weren't prepared to purchase ice crampons). But we visited the entire Rim Trail, from the eastern entrance at Desert View to Hermits Rest in... More

On a clear day you can see for miles , it's a multitude of layers of rock and various bands of colours. If you are lucky you will see long horn sheep or goats hiding in the rocks. Defiantly a must see!

We just had to take a helicopter to see this place and as much as I don't like flying, when you are up there you forget all about it! It's the most beautiful place and you won't see anything else like it on earth. Im glad we did it and spent the money to view it from the air!!
