Another part of the spectacular Glacier National Park. It is one of our all time favorite National Parks. We cannot wait to return and drench ourselves in this beauty again.

Has great short hikes and ranger led boat cruises. It's hard to take a bad picture of the lake and it looks different as the light changes. Make time to do something at the lake to experience it.

Lake is huge and beautiful, but had no action. The pictures of goose island turn out great, but that's the extent of my enjoyment of st Mary lake.

Have the same shot of this lake from this year and about 5 years ago, but the beauty is unchanged. What a magnificent scene with the glacial mountains directly behind the lake, surrounded by the forest and tall pines. Utterly one of the most beautiful places on Earth.

Beautiful area. great scenery. When I was there was in late July, was not crowded at all. ONLY problem is with AT&T... no service as they tend to do in western states. Verizon was working well for the other folks.

down by the picnic area is a trail that will take you down to a host of lakeside spots perfect for spending a relaxing day between trails basking in the towering mountains around you. I hear the falls hikes are awesome. will definitely come back for those.

We took the Glacier Boat Tour to St. Mary Lake. Our guide even sang us a song along the way. After the boat ride, there is an optional hike to St. Mary Falls, and Virginia Falls. The Lake is so beautiful, a definite stop during your stay in Glacier.

Excellent service - views were outstanding. We had the ranger with us and he led a hike to St. Mary's Falls as well - really added to the trip - lots of information on the glaciers.

St. Mary Lake is stunning at sunrise and sunset for doing photography. There are several areas of waterfalls along the west end that are great to hike to as well.

It is the second largest lake in Glacier National Park. The views are spectacular. It is great to drive along the lake on the Going to the Sun road.
