We enjoyed a boat tour of St. Mary Lake and had a great time. Our guide/captain was fun and very knowledgeable. The cost was extremely reasonable and the value great.

Nothing especially interesting about the St. Mary Lake. It's a body of water in a national park. It's there for your enjoyment to look at, but Glacier National Park is what's gorgeous. The lake is included.

We stopped here to enjoy the beauty before entering the park. The parking lot has a lot of gravel and small rocks. The kids went off to explore nearby and when it was time to leave, my daughter was running, tripped, and got a nasty gash in her knee. I had some bandaids but decided we needed to clean it... More

Within the Park a lovely large lake. Did not get down to shoreline but there are trips available on the lake.

Beautiful green/blue water with the mountains as a backdrop. What else could you want? Trails around the lake are wonderful.

This area, accessed through the Many Glacier entrance is one of the many beautiful locations in the park and worth the short drive. We even got to see a mother bear and two cubs just east of the lake.

This is one of the lakes to get those early morning reflection photos. We also saw a grizzly resting by the water's edge. Further down is a trailhead for a nice 2 mile walk. We found a moose and a black bear while hiking on this trail. Relatively easy walk, some elevation change.

This is a beautiful lake surrounded by high peaks and lush grassy meadows. It is bear country and we saw a rare occurence when we spotted a grizzly bear sow with three cubs. There are usually just one or two cubs. Great place to hike and many opportunities for the phototgrapher.

St. Mary's Lake is stunning! It takes your breath away the first time you see it! It looks good really at any angle- you can’t take a bad photo! The clean, clear waters surrounded by tree-lined shores and the magnificent mountains around it! It was interesting to see the various hues of turquoise of the lake water. In some parts,... More

This is a pristine mountain lake that is prolific in mountain wildflowers. Reflections of snow covered mountains in the glass like lake. Sit in nature and relax in the tranquil beauty. LOVE this place.
