We took the boat tour around the lake. It was relaxing (after a long day of hiking) and we got to see several glaciers and a bald eagle. We learned some history of the area. It was a nice inexpensive thing to do.

St. Mary Lake is one of my favorite places to visit when in Glacier Park! The hike up to Sun Point reveals an absolutly breathtaking view of the lake and the surrounding mountains. It is usually always windy here and the hike up the point a little steep with some shale, but most people will not have difficulty with the... More

If you want to see nature, Glacier Park and St. Mary's is the place. Take the 4 hour horseback ride to Grinnel Lake or hike to Grinnel Glacier. You'll be glad you did!

A good place just to relax and wander around, we didn't have a canoe or a boat but it would have been a great place just to paddle around, the scenery is awesome and it was so peaceful.

What a stunning experience. The October weather was absolutely enervating. Make sure you dress warmly and are able to climb the last mile to the glacier. The view is well worth it.

Drive on the road between the dam and the national park entry gate at dusk and keep an eye out for bears - both grizzly and black, They are often seen from above while you looki down at the beach along the lake. In September they come to feed by the road on berries to build bulk for their winter... More

This untouched area of Glacier National park is not to be missed. The park is pristine and the view of the mountains and lakes are spectacular. The park rangers are very informative and love to interact with the guests. Take a few days to explore this area and wonder through the trails and well marked roads. We recommend staying at... More
