We took the Many Glacier boat ride including the Grinnell Lake guided walk. Our guide was excited to tell us all about the lake, the glaciers, rocks, etc. We enjoyed every minute.

Glacier National Park has a huge ground to cover. The best way to experience this park is hiking. thank god for this boat company! Me and husband boarded Sinopah at two medicine lake area for the two medicine lake trail and the next day at Lake Swiftcurrent for Grinnel glacier trail. Boat ride saved us several miles of hiking. It... More

We took the 2pm boat tour and guided hike to Grinnell Lake from the Many Glacier Hotel over Labor Day weekend. You actually get two boat rides (each way) with this trip - over both Swiftcurrent and Josephine Lakes. The scenery is stunning. I couldn't stop taking pictures. Our guided hike was informative and fun! The views at the lake... More

We boarded the "Sinopah" in mid-afternoon and took a very pleasant ride to the western end of Two Medicine Lake. The crew was great and provided some very interesting narration of what we were seeing. I appreciated the fact the narrator did not talk constantly. After leaving the boat we took a mile hike into Twin Falls which is a... More

The one hour Lake McDonald boat rides sell out early. Buy your tickets in the morning or the day before. This is a pleasant cruise but I wish there had been more than six people allowed on the upper deck. If you can't sit there get a seat in the open sections of the front or back for the best... More

We were staying in Two Medicine and decided to take the boat back to the west end of the lake to save time for our hike to Cobalt Lake. We took the 9am boat ride and had a good history lesson on the campground and surrounding area. The difficulty is the return trip. You get a seat if space is... More

This was a short ride with little commentary. Hike was not much better in that not much guidance was provided. Would have been better off forgoing and walking around.

Nearly any trip on the water is enjoyable, but this could have been much better. The 1-hour Lake McDonald trip was pleasant and somewhat informative, however the boat was crowded and only 6 people can go up top at a time. With a capacity crowd, that gets very difficult. Our cruise did have a ranger on board for narration, but... More

Before the review, here is one of the policies that you only hear about on site, unless I missed something. If you buy a ticket for an outbound boat shuttle or guided hike that included the boat shuttle, you will always be given preference on the return trip over those who hike out, but wish to return via the boat.... We took the 1 hour boat tour on Lake McDonald. The boat went along the shore with the captain giving commentary. There really isn't that much to see along the shoreline and the sound system was poor so we couldn't really make out the comments. Save your money and just enjoy the scenery from the dock.
