My wife & I attended the 100 Year Anniversary for Many Glacier Lodge. 140 former employees came back to compare stories. We were there 7/30 -to 8/03/15. I am a former employee of GPL working in 1970 & 71. A highlight of the trip was listening to 2 musical Hootenanies, put on by former employees. Concerts in the lobby which... More

Picture range of mountains surrounding you, with some majestic peaks. Imagine a lake right in front of them, reflecting the peaks as well as the clear sky. Now if that excites you, add the orange, red colors of sunrise and you have got one of the picturesque landscapes that you ever been to. Don't miss this view as the sun... More

We always enjoy this beautiful and peaceful walk around this lake. It is just so beautiful. We were here in mid September and hardly anyone else was on the trail so we had it almost totally to ourselves. After the hike we looked up on the hill and saw a huge herd of bighorn sheep and then another group of... More

Its a nice lake, and perfect for a short boat ride to Grinnel Glacier trail which is where you should be headed if you are on the lake. There is a short trail around the lake thats easy and nice for elderly or out of shapers.

Beautiful Glacier feed lake. The glacier blue coloring was very prominent here. We saw bears on the mountainsides turning over rocks looking for a moth larvae that is high protein getting themselves ready for the winter hibernation.

The view of the lake and surrounding mountains from in front of the Many Glacier lodge is hard to beat on a nice day. There's a nice trail around the lake but, as with most other trails, there is a bear warning sign at the very beginning. If you don't have bear spray, it's not recommended to venture out too... A beautiful timber-lined lake, ringed with snow tinged mountains, is the home base for the Many Glaciers Hotel and the Swiftcurrent Inn. This is a base for some of the best hiking in the park but you can enjoy the scenery just siting on the porch of the Many Glaciers Hotel. The hotel dock hosts boat trips taking you deeper... More

This is a beautiful lake behind Many Glacier Lodge. You can hike around the lake or take a boat ride across it. We did both and it was a lot of fun.

I think Many Glacier and Swiftcurrent Lake is one of my favorite places in Glacier NP and that is hard to say since I love every square mile of this park! There is a lovely hike all around the lake which is super easy and flat but still offers stunning views from almost every angle through the trees. There are... More
