This short trail gives a good perspective on how vast the Everglades prairies are. Look for Sandhill Cranes which are often seen from this trail. More

short boardwalk trail - saw a bald eagles nest and some baby alligators - they make a chirping cound like baby birds. More

Second only to Shark Valley for wildlife viewing. Kinda crowded though. Do not tease the native dwellers..they will bite! More

A great trail to see the grass marshland with bald cypress. The trail is short and offers great photo opportunity. More

Wow ... this was a short boardwalk, not a lot of wildlife, just the opportunity to see what looks like a huge, neverending prairie, but is actually a flowing river. Just stand still and listen to the quiet, the sound of the wind and the birds ... really moving experience that allows you to get in touch with what the... More

One of my 3 favorite spots from the Coe Visitors' Center entrance (the birds, turtles and alligators along Anhinga Trail and the birds at Mrazek Pond are the others). The panoramic views are just amazing from the top, it's wonderfully peaceful, and the lower boardwalk gets you close to the vegetation that makes up this wonderful part of the Everglades.... More

From the boardwalk, we felt like being in the center of the "green river". We were alone on the observation tower, during Thanksgiving vacation and it was amazing. We loved the Anhinga Trail and the E. Coe visitor center too. Shark Valley, on the other side of the Everglades National Park, was disappointing. We'd recommend to spend more time on... More

This is a very short boardwalk loop trail that offers a good view of the "rivers of grass", but the view is much the same as what you see as you are driving through this section of the Everglades. Use it as a place to stretch your legs if you are looking for a break at that point. Follow the... More
