We were on an extensive motor home tour of the Yukon and Alaska when we stopped in Denali for 4 nights. It's a fabulous park to visit offering lovely views, tremendous wildlife, and amazing wilderness. To keep that wilderness intact the park does not allow vehicles into the interior. You need to arrange a bus tour, if you don't plan... More

When planning a trip to Denali National Park aka Mt. McKinley you 1st need to decide how you will get there example 1) drive yourself 2) take a motor coach bus 3) take a luxury train from Anchorage or from Fairbanks or 4) take a pricy flight. 2nd you need to decide if you want to 1) camp in the... The bus picked us up at a hotel a few miles south of the park entrance. It is an old school bus but it was just fine. Our driver and guide was Kevin Hay and he was a mine of information about the park and its wildlife. He was always willing to stop to view bears, caribou, sheep, mouse and anything else... More

The tour bus picks you up at several different resort locations. The driver was knowledgeable and friendly. When an animal was spotted he stopped and did his best to move the bus to give us the best view. He did not rush so everyone could see and take lots of photos. The lunch served at the lodge was good. The... More

Our driver Eric was excellent. Narrated tour with lots of stops for wildlife and sightseeing. I didn't enjoy the ride itself, mainly because the winding roads in the high elevation passes were scary. But I am not one for liking riding on roads like that in any vehicle. The driver did an amazing job though. The lunches they provided were... More

This is a 12 hour bus tour deep into Denali. If you get sea sick or motion sick then you should NOT take this trip. And try to sit towards the front. Bring hydration and plan to wait 2 hours for each rest stop. You do not hike or get off the bus except for rest stops. The whole trip... More

This is a long 12 1/2 hour bus ride BUT we saw over 40 animals!! We had an excellent day of beautiful weather and animals were out everywhere! Bear walking down the road, wolves, moose, you name it. A lunch bag with sandwiches is provided but make sure you bring food and drinks for the long day. Our guide was... More

We were worried that 12 hours would seem like a long day but the time flew by! I brought a book and did not read one word! We spotted four out of the big five types of wildlife (bears, caribou, dhall sheep,

We had an amazing trip! We worried that 13 hours for a bus trip to the interior of Denali Park might be too hard to sit through... but the day was over too quickly for us! Our driver, Don Soileau was knowledgeable and entertained us with a lot of background information about the area and the wildlife that we experienced.... More

We were gone for just under the promised 12 hours but saw a fox, many bears, caribou, and elk. We were given plenty of time for photos at each sighting. Many were close-ups too! The ranger who rode with us an hour before and after Kantishna was great! He had stories and pictures along with showing us blueberries, cranberries and... More
