The presentation was much better than I expected. We were allowed to walk around the kennel, pet the dogs, take photos, check out their equipment, read up on sled dogs, and interact with the Rangers. The presentation is short and to the point but well worth the trip. The dogs put on a great show. There is a place for... More

So fun to see how these dogs love their jobs! The rangers were open to any types of questions, and gave me a new insight into how these dogs played an important part in the settling of this vast land.

A trip to the Sled Dog Demonstration is great for all ages of people. It is very interesting to see the dogs and watch how they respond when there is a chance of a sled ride coming up. they go mad. My wife loved getting to pet the beautiful dogs and the demonstration of the sled ride was great. Very... More

A definite 'MUST DO' -- the dogs are simply awesome and friendly. You can actually pet them -- it was a great demonstration. There was a squirrel in the tree and several huskies had their heads pointed upward -- watching every movement the squirrel made. Very funny. Definitely recommend this demonstration.

We almost missed this. It is a free demonstration of how the dogs are used in the Park. Interesting for all. The dogs loved the attention. Take the time to look at all the pictures to learn more about their history.

I am a huge dog lover and so enjoyed learning about the Denali National Park sled dog team and watching the demonstration. The dogs get so excited to be chosen to participate and they run so fast! We arrived a little early and were able to walk around looking at all of the dogs and seeing the new puppy that... More

Our Denali bus took us into the park 92 miles and ended at the Kantishna Lodge. We met a guy named Emmet Peters, Jr. who gave us a short talk about dog sledding, the Iditarod and his father who won one year. This guy was hilarious! Later, we were able to meet the dogs and he gave a short demonstration... More
