Super fun to watch. The treatment of these animals was fine; I'd heard the dog sled dogs are not treated well. These dogs, however, are not used in the Idinerod but for hauling food & supplies to hard to reach places in Denali during the winter. Their jobs are truly honorable :-) . I talked to a couple of the... More

This is free and the Park runs a free shuttle to and from it. OK, the show is short (20 mins) and there's very little seating. Looking around the kennels and the small museum is pretty cool. The Park Rangers do a great job presenting and answering questions. The dogs are just great too. I was surprised that the dogs... More

Well, I'm glad we haven't stopped this demonstration too. Most enthusiastic federal employees I have ever seen. Definitely better than seeing where the powerful president lives. We were welcomed by the employees by barking and yelping. Who wants the peasants visiting anyways. Thanks again.

We are not big dog lovers, so I was disappointed how much time was given to petting the dogs compared to the length of the actual demonstration. The actual show only lasted maybe 20 minutes and it was very good. Had I known how short the show was, not sure if I would have spent the time it takes to... More

Fun thing to do in Denali Park. The dogs are fun to pet and watch. A small museum and demonstration make the time complete.

Don't do the Husky tours, instead this is better and courtesy of the Park. The bus takes you at pre-determined time for 30 minute demonstration. Very useful and children of all ages will like it.

It was interesting to hear all about running the Iditarod and what goes into training the sled dogs to run this grueling race. We were also able to watch as the dogs were hitched to a four-wheeler and then pulled the four-wheeler and driver around the grounds.

As a free and easy to access activity in Denali, I would recommend it for all. The ranger talk is interesting and a great insight to a resource found in very few places in the U.S.

We were on vacation with our 13 year old grandson. This free demonstration was the highlight of his trip. You can pet the dogs! They are very friendly. The demonstration is informative and just the right length. They allow you to take pictures with the dogs and the sled at the end. While we were there a Moose and her... More

The dogs stole the show on the day we visited. The ranger giving the presentation was a bit over the top and condescending at times. She tried hard but came across like a kindergarten teacher talking to a group of 5 year olds. I would still go back to see the dogs and hope for a different ranger.
