Great attraction--the dogs are wonderful

The sled dogs are really friendly and the talk by the rangers gives a great insight to their activities. It is convenient and informative. You will enjoy.

The sad but honest initial perk of this attraction is that it's free. This demonstration is very educational about Denali national park, it's history, the dogs and their routine, a demonstration on their job, and you get to walk around and pet them. Don't hesitate to spend 1.5 hours at this demonstration and talking with the park rangers. Very fun... More

Great chance to pet a sled dog puppy, learn a whole bunch about sled dogs, and generally having a great time learning about the work these dogs do at the park.

I enjoyed touring the huskies home and watching the dog sled demonstration, particularly since it was under a canopy and there was free shuttle buses there and back from the visitor's centre. The dogs looked healthy, happy and well cared for by the park staff and volunteer students I met at the park.

This is a hidden gem in the park and well worth your time! To be able to see and visit with the sled dogs that patrol the park in the winter and to hear about their training and history is fascinating! Don't miss the opportunity while in Denali!

This demonstration was very interesting and informative. It was also free of charge, which was a nice discovery. I really enjoyed interacting with the dogs and the enthusiasm of the rangers as they described the process of training the dogs and how this time-honored tradition is maintained by the forestry department. Although there are many tours sold to see other... More

People come here thinking "this is terrible, look at what they make these dogs do". Well those dogs love it!. You can tell when a dog is happy and these dogs are very happy. All dogs should be treated that well.

This was a lot of fun. Wish they had more audience participation. They have plenty of buses to and from the visitor center.

All the dog lovers LOVED the time given with the sled dogs. I'm not a dog lover, however I still enjoyed seeing the dogs. Even better, was the demonstration of the dogs pulling the sled AND the tons of information the rangers gave about the dogs and the work they do!

This was a free demonstration and the dogs are friendly; you can pet them and have your picture taken with them. There are historical artifacts onsite. There is a shuttle from the visitor's center to take you to the site. It was interesting to watch the rangers bring the individual dogs to the viewing area. They walk on their hind... More
