Dogs super-relaxed around people. No worries about your kids or for dog-fearing people, and they are really beautiful!

This demo is done by Denali park rangers, and is first class. They bring you there in busses, let you play with the dogs, give you some history, and then hook the dogs up to a sled and run around a track.

This is the National Park kennel for the dogs. Rangers talk to you about the purpose, and demo a sled ride. You are able to pet the dogs and get up close and personal! I was actually shocked they let folks handle and get so friendly with their dogs.

I think this is a great activity to do in Denali. Especially for families. The dogs are friendly and they give you time to play with them and take pictures. The rangers are very well informed and are friendly. You can tell they really love what they do!

Definitely make the time to fit this in your schedule. Fascinating to learn the roles these dogs serve in supporting Denali's operations. Sled demonstration was fun. Spending time with dogs - wish there were more time. Staff was very knowledgeable and receptive to questions. Can't say enough!

It was an informative visit and demonstration on work dogs as opposed to race dogs. The park ranger however talked to us like children. The dogs were beautiful and friendly.

The demonstration is interesting--you get to see the dogs run and you learn a little about raising sled dogs. The best part is getting to pet the animals later. Good for kids (and adults that love animals.)

Found this by accident but thoroughly enjoyed the demonstration. The rangers really seemed to know the dogs and worked well with them. Loved seeing the new puppy!

We enjoyed this a lot. The opportunity to see the dogs and learn how they are trained really helps appreciate how important the dogs are to the mission of preserving wilderness at Denali Park. We just happened to see this on the schedule and were glad we went to see it.

Skifor... that started the rangers analogy to help the audience understand that these Alaskan Huskies do what they were born to do. She was so articulate and well organized in her presentation that I felt I really understood how a team is put together, how these dogs are cared for (even sleeping with the handlers when the winter gets really...
