We were disappointed at sunset because the shadows were covering up the colors but once it started to go behind the rock the colors were popping like crazy. Great view.

Colors were just ok (valley of fire was better) but this one-way road is fun to drive. Good stop between Furnace Creek and Badwater.
It is just the most fun and amazing drive in Death Valley. It is really beautiful and there are plenty of places to stop and take pictures.

After driving from Vegas to Death Valley you get bored of long straight roads that seem to lead to nothing. Artists Drive was a fantastic twisty road surrounded by beautiful views. Definitely worth the time for a look.
Death Valley may not be for everyone, especially those who don't like to hike.
Well, here, you can just drive through the Artist's Drive and enjoy the breathtaking landscape.
Best time to go is before sunset where the sun will shine on the colorful landscape.

This was one of my favorite parts of the park. The paved drive is a blast, the scenery amazing, and overall a very unforgettable experience.
This narrow winding one way road offers spectacular views of the stark but colorful mountains of Death Valley. Jaw dropping beauty at every curve. A must see, especially if you're already stopping by Badwater and the Devils' Golf Course. Plenty of photo-ops so have your camera ready!
So if you aren't a painter, bring the camera, get out of the car and take home some unbelievable shots of the lower valley and surrounding hills with their spectacular colors.
This was a nice drive but, being the driver your focus is on the road so I'm pretty sure I missed lots of pretty rock colours. What I did see were lots of twists and switchbacks and exciting dips. We didn't stop to take photos because its a narrow one way road. It doesn't detour far from Badwater road so...
