A rock formation that looks like a sledgehammer.

You can't go to Bryce without finding Thor's Hammer! Even though there are millions of hoodoos, Thor's Hammer stands out among them all.

There are many hoodoos that you can enjoy in Bryce Canyon, but Thor's Hammer is somehow special because it is so easily accessible and is alone, so stands out very much from the landscape.

Thor's Hammer is an easy hoodoo to get close to. It is just below the canyon's rim at Sunset Point on the Navajo Trail.

Very interesting formation. It stands out on its own surrounded by other hoodoos. It is a good 'end' to the Navajo trail en route to sunset point. If short on time, go down from sunset point to view it. Nice photo op

These are natural but they look like someone stacked them! We actually did the tour with a Navajo guide and he was wonderful! Thank you Mike!!!

In Bryce Canyon hoodoos are everywhere but this one literally stands out. It towers above the other structures in its vicinity. It is very photogenic and most Bryce Canyon visitors have photo of it knowingly or not. To see it closely take Navajo Trail.

Thor's Hammer, Bryce's tallest hoodoo, can be viewed closely by doing the Navajo Trail walk/hike, or from the lookout at Sunset Point if you don't want to walk the short distance down the Navajo trail to see it closer. It is a stand out hoodoo formation but I wonder how long it will stand for given the unusual erosion process... More

My husband and I saw Thor's Hammer on our hiking experience in Bryce. The hoodoo's in Bryce are amazing. It was our first time hiking and we want to go back. You just have to know your limits.

Easy to get to and take pictures. Sunrise had the best light since the sunbeams were hitting the rocks by Thor's Hammer and reflection back on the beautiful pinks, oranges and bright colors.
