Easy walk to the rock and rim edge. It offers great views and photo opportunities. It sure seems like a pulpit out there where one could orate to the masses.

We visited with 6 small children 2-8 yrs. old. At the time there was a ranger on duty to answer questions about the overlook and the park. As some of our kids were working towards their Jr. Ranger badges during our day and a half visit, some of the kids got really friendly and asked a lot of questions, which... More

A sheer drop to the Gunnison River below and low barriers make this a place I wouldn't want to lose my balance.

This gives you a superb view of the canyon right down to the floor. Safety rails but not wheelchair accessible. Step carefully.

In my opinion this is the prime place from which to view this natural wonder of a canyon. In addition to the photos you'll take from the overlook, don't forget to get one back toward the overlook itself from terra firma to show your friends, so they can say, "Wow, you really stood there?!?"
