This will be a review about the portion of the Devil's Garden Loop Trail that leads up to this Arch - because that's where we stopped and looped back. This is definitely the best trail in Arches to get your visit's worth. You see several AMAZING arches and realize the reason they named the park after them :) So, 4... More

We decided to start this hike pretty late in the day, but did make it to the end, but had to hustle back to beat the fading light. Some nice scary moments on the trail, so if you are afraid of heights I'd steer clear. A good challenge of a hike.

This is a 2 to 3 hour hike from the car park. You need to have plenty of water, proper footwear, and adequate sunscreening.it can get very hot. I would advise to take a walking pole, though this is not essential. Parts of the walk are a scramble and involve walking along ridges. If you don't like heights do not... More

Although this hike is really tiring, it is very much rewarding. The whole hike has something new to offer. You will pass by the landscape arch, then go up the strenuous spine then pass by the collapsed wall arch, then have a view point to the black arch before arriving at the double O. The whole trip is amazing. Just... More

This arch is quite the hike beyond Landscape Arch but was really fun if you like a challenge. You start out by climbing a "spine" of rock but don't give up, it gets easier! You will cross another "spine" but it's level and the view is beautiful. Just watch your step! I wouldn't really recommend this hike for small children.... More

We did this hike with our 9 and 11 year olds. There were a few challenging areas trying to scramble up or down some rocks, and a bunch of areas atop the "fins" which had AMAZING views of everything below them, but it's narrow and a BIG drop on either side of the narrow passage (maybe 12-15ft across?). I'm scared... More

We drove through the gate at Arches at 0530 because we wanted to see the sun rise over the arches. The hike back to see Double O is almost better than seeing the arches - you've got to be in pretty good shape. My hubby is 62 and I'm 58 and we didn't have any trouble with it.

This hike was great! I would recommend doing this early in the day as the park does get crowded later in the day and to anyone craving a little bit more of a challenge/smaller crowds. You start the hike headed to the Landscape Arch, which is beautiful but a very crowded part of the trail. Definitely continue onto the Double... More

See my review of the Devils Garden Trail which is the trail to these arches. We ended up there in the afternoon, and the colors from within the "O"'s were amazing.. Not a lot of people at these arches as the trail is pretty tough and unusual.. if you like hiking this is a must.
