Arches is beautiful. The natural formations will take your breath away. Be sure and do some of the hiking trails to access some of the more remote locations. It's also a very user friendly park for the elderly or infirm because of the great roads - most of which lead to the major sights. Try visiting at different times of... More

Arrived early in the morning at 0800 hours so not many other tourists and quite cool. Easy to park at the various arches and walk up to them. When we left at 1100 hours the visitor center was chocka.

Well, where to begin...sunset I suppose! Delicate Arch is amazing at sunset especially with the mountains full of snow on the background. We left about 1 1/2 hours before sunset and arrived about 1/2 hour before the sun did set. Trail is not bad...slip rock area is marked by the wear in the rock, the rest is fine. Sunset =... More

If you love snowy peaks in the distance (the Lasal Mtns) and immense red cliffs, buttes and rock formations in every shape- then go to Moab,Utah an visit Arches NP (along with Canyonlands and other amazing spots)!! I like winter the best (snow on the colored rocks makes them stand out even more) but spring brings amazing plant colors too! Take... More

During a long weekend in Utah, we were torn on how to spend our last day - skiing, sightseeing, or taking a day-trip to Arches. The trip to Arches was 3.5 hours each way, but every person we asked for opinions about the trip said "Do It!", so we did. There is little more to say about Arches than so... More

We visited Arches National Park this month to celebrate my birthday. It was just a short trip for us (two nights)- it was our 5th visit to the park, but our first winter visit. We were with 2 adults and 2 small children. We spent one full day in the park, and then took a morning hike before heading back.... More

Wanted to see and hike in the winter. Snow (not much though) added to the interesting landscape. This is a unique and beautiful area. One should schedule days rather than hours to see and hike all of the unique sights and trails.

Arch, because of its uniqueness, is one of the place on earth that you really should been to in your life time. It is not that cold in later December at least for the two days we were there. The high in the afternoon was nearly 50. This makes the trail to delicate Arch much easier than in the 100... More

Highlight of the trip for me was the hike to Delicate Arch. Six of us (ages 60+) had no trouble getting to the arch and it was a view I'll never forget.
