We drove the loop and stopped at many spots for photos. We saw many great views of the rugged coast. We were there mid-week so the crowd was not overwhelming, though it was often hard to find parking at the various stops. We stopped and did a few short hikes, which were good. The highlight of the drive was when... More

We cycled around the whole park with our son and saw many wonderful things! I would go back in a heartbeat. Amazing camping, perfect and serene. The staff at the park are super helpful and we will be going back again soon!

This is a beautiful drive to see the main points of Acadia National Park. The views are breathtaking. We took a 3 hour bus tour that departed from Bar Harbor and it was well worth it. Then we went back by car and took our time at some of the sites and carriage tours. We were there the week of... More

It is a nice drive to see the entire park. you are suppose to have a park pass but we ran into people who didnt' have one and didn't know where to purchase it. we tried several trails along the loop but there was NOT enough parking and they were full ... I know we were there in prime summer... More

This is a great little National Park for those who love nature and the ocean. The 27 mile Loop Road takes you around the Park to see the best views the Park has to offer. One can even take a road up Cadillac Mountain and get the best birds-eye views of the Maine Coast. There are forests, ponds, and ocean... More

Breathtaking views from the top of Mount Cadillac, sheltered bathing at Sand Beach, the drama of Thunder Hole, watching the climbers struggling up the cliffs at Otter Point, the tranquil walk around Jordan Pond, the chance to scramble on tracks to catch the views of the surrounding island, and so on and so on. All of that to be found... More

This National Park is absolutely breathtaking. We drove the loop on our visit to the park. There are lots of pull off areas and parking lots around the park. We made stops at Sand beach, Bubble Pond, Jordan Pond, Thunder Hole, and Cadillac Mnt. There is much more to do, but we only had half a day. There is something... More

Worth use 1 hour of your life driving slow by this road and checking every point where you can stop and see how beautiful is all around …. One will not get tired of that view and will not ever forget it.

We enjoyed Acadia last week, in May 2014. We drove on the scenic loop, and up the Cadillac mountain. It was lovely, Sometimes I felt it was not rugged enough since it was almost post card pretty. I enjoyed the Schoodic Peninsula of the Acadia park better.
