We love having lunch at the Jordan Pond House after a morning of hiking. It is worth the wait. The popovers are wonderful and we have never had a bad meal there

There seems to be some negative reviews since a change in ownership but we had a great lunch at the restaurant. Reservations are a must if you want to eat ouside. The service was good and the food delicious. It was a little pricey but you are paying for the beauty as well. The 3 1/2 mile hike around the... More

Started on the hike around Jordan Pond by going to the right. Hike was very easy and took maybe 45 minutes, with a few stops to admire the scenery. The hike ended with a very long walk over boards and that wasn't the most pleasant. There was a wait for popovers so we left and the boyfriend will miss having... More

Wait was about an hour but went by fast as we walked around the pond. Service was quick and friendly. The farmers market soup with popovers and tea we ordered were all delicious. We ate over looking the pond- so scenic and tasty :)

Crystal clear water is reflecting the mountains. Just beautiful. No swimming. But its still nice to visit. Have a walk by the water. Relax and enjoy the nature God created.

We hiked/walked around Jordan Pond (3 1/2 miles) on a windy cloudy fall day. As others mentioned......if you go counter clockwise the trail is flat and easy and the view of Bubble beautiful. When we got beneath the Bubble Mountain it was really windy with white caps on the pond....seriously. The trail then becomes a scramble over/around large granite rocks.... More

I visited Jordan Pond 23 years ago and the water was crystal clean and the bottom was covered in beautiful stones. It was easy to view the pond from the sloping grassy hillside and the spectacular scenery. On my recent visit on 9/10/14, it was a bit different. The pond though still beautiful was cloudier with more muddy bottom then... More

We parked in the north parking lot (which is not at the north end of the lake), and walked counter clock wise around the lake. The first half was very easy and scenic, but the return was not as enjoyable, a bit rocky and walking on the boardwalk was that enjoyable. Best bet would be to walk to the far... More

This is a beautiful walk around the sparkling Jordan Pond. Much of the trail is gravel, a short amount of rock scrambling, and a fair amount of plank walking. It was enjoyable and we only saw other hikers occasionally. Afterwards, we lunched at the restaurant and only waited ten minutes for a table. The only drawbacks are the restroom locations... More

As a kid, Jordan Pond was an annual destination during the two weeks we would spend in Maine; we would hike the ridge (Penobscott and Sargent Mountain) and loop around Jordan Pond to end at the Pondhouse for popovers and tea. The ridge line is a relatively easy hike (I've done it in sandals) and it's one of those hikes... More
