We were lured by the popovers and strawberry jam. They were good, but the stuffed flounder was some of the best I have eaten. Perfectly cooked, moist and flavorful. The quinoa was a nice accompaniment. We dined outside and had great views of the pond and park.

We took the bus from the main visitor's center and decided to hike around the pond. Beautiful views with the pond and Bubble Rock in the distance. The walk was somewhat strenuous with few rocks to climb and boardwalks to stay on but shaded for the most part.

Parking is a challenge as the spaces go quickly. Your best bet is to wait in a lot until someone departs rather than circle around. We reserved lawn seats to the restaurant successive days. To be blunt, I think the staff we interfaced with was varying degrees of surly, indifferent and poorly trained. Had to wait for menus to be... More

This walk is a bit harder than we realized. You have to walk on wooden planks and climb over rocks. We saw some people with baby carriages and warned them that it would be very difficult to go on the other half.

Parking here is to test ones patience. I'm not sure why the lot isn't closed when it is full & route people to the second lot. Once you finally park you can then wait for a table. The food is wonderful, but very pricey. Not worth the parking frustrations & the long wait. Views of Jordan Pond are beautiful.

Jordan Pond is a wonderful stop in Acadia. There are many hiking and biking trails. One can kayak on the lake. The restaurant at Jordan Pond is famous for its pop overs and afternoon tea but they have a full menu as well. The gift shop offers wonderful souvenirs to take home. Upstairs there are snacks, sandwiches, soups, pastries etc....my... More

Be sure to make this stop part of your Acadia National Park experience, it's grand!!! Enjoy the carriage roads for biking or foothpaths around the pond and sit on a rock and enjoy the wonderful view.

We biked around the lake in the morning, then after lunch we hiked up to Bubble Rock from Jordon Pond. The pond is beautiful and great for just a stroll or a hike. Pack a picnic or eat at the restaurant. Definitely worth a visit.

Very busy in summer! They just built or refurbished a lower parking area, but even so you might be driving around in circles for a long time looking for a parking spot. The Jordan House itself is not spectacular to look at, but the view is nice and the trails are very pretty and well maintained. I didn't get into... More

My family has been coming to the Jordan Pond House for 40 years. Now that the Acadia Corporation in no longer running this historical establishment , things have gone downhill. My 24 dollar lobster salad was a disappointment . It came with weird, warm sherry vinaigrette dressing with cooked onion. Had to ask for a balsamic replacement. Two yellow string... More
