Having visited Jordan Pond for 24 years while vacationing, I have come to so appreciate the beauty of the area, and the fantastic tea and popovers. It never changes and is such a wonderful comfort on a cold fall day. However, because of a very poor decision, and very questionable, Acadia Corporation who has run Jordan for 80 years was... More

We decided to check out the Jordan Cliff Trail after a friend told us how wonderful the views were. This was definitely the most challenging and beautiful trail I've ever done! It's about 3 miles long and includes some areas where iron rungs and ladders are used as support. I'm fairly nervous when it comes to heights but this trail... More

Just go. Words can't describe how beautiful and peaceful this place is, particularly when the crowds aren't around.

Walk the trail down to the pond and around, stop at the house for afternoon tea, turn your phone off and enjoy!

The popovers at the Jordan Pond House were delish and worth the effort of making long in advance reservations. The view of the pond is lovely, too. Beware the easy walk around the pond, tho, especially if you have small kids. It's much longer than it appears and the last mile is on a log path that requires some balance... More

We went mid-week just past Labor Day and we had to park in the overflow lot and walk over. We did not check out the café but just wanted to see the view. While it has a nice view of the pond and hills around it, there are many other areas in the park that are more worth your time.... More

This lake is beautiful!! However, there are half a dozen sights telling visitors not to dare touch the water, because it's part of the public water supply. "No touching!! No swimming! No boating!" We had to entertain ourselves merely along the shoreside of this pristine lake. However, we did come across a grove of plants encircled by CAUTION tape with... More

Nice easy walk around the pond. Clear day made for gorgeous pictures. The Jordan Pond house is an excellent reward for an easy stroll.

Easy trails and nice views. The trail circles the pond and offers nice views of the Bubbles and Cadillac Mountain.

The best place to hike and take in nature at its best. Walked over rocks, along trails and wooden planks, covering the delicate flora and fauna. This is a must see if in Acadia National Park.
