Jordan Pond is a nice area to visit and the beginning of several trails, but very crowded. The pond trail is easy enough for nearly anyone in your group.

Wonderful trail around the pond. Great views and good exercise before you head back to Jordan Pond House for their famous popovers and a very delicious lunch on the hillside overlooking the pond.

We did the Jordan Pond hike with our boys - 10 and 6 this week. Parking wasn't a problem for us during a weekday and it took us all of 1 hr 45 min to complete the loop that was exactly 3 miles as per GPS. The first 45 min were fun for the kids and they played and happily... More

We were really frustrated with our trip to Acadia. Driving up to Cadillac Mountain was horrible due to the bikers who seem to have death wishes (with the carriage roads, why bike on the car roads?) and then the horrific parking situation at the top. Then we wanted to have lunch at Jordan Pond. House but there was literally nowhere... More

This is a really nice place to visit. It is so beautiful and calming. There is a trail that goes around the pond. The trail is not difficult at all and very flat. It is kind of boring, I wouldn't recommend going on that. I just really liked the view here and it was a great place for pictures.

A 5km walk around the lake. The W side is more rough with boardwalks and some boulder scrambling than the east which is a smooth trail (even strollers can access this side. Beautiful views of the surrounding mountains makes for a serene and peacful walk

My wife and I recently had a wonderful trip to Bar Harbor, Maine. Having been there several times before we were expecting the same experiences. Our favorite place to dine is the Jordan Pond House on Jordan Pond. Imagine our dismay when we went for lunch and couldn't find a parking space, anywhere. All the spaces were taken. At first... More

My husband and I were lucky enough hike the surrounding mountains including the Bubbles, Penobscot, Pemetic and Sargent Mtn while we were vacationing here and every view of the pond was gorgeous. Highly recommend any of those trails for hiking if you want a great look of the lake as well as the Jordan Pond loop.

We had 12 people (7 adults, 5 young kids). It was a nice view of beautiful clear water and bubble mountains. There was some interesting terrain (boardwalks, boulders, bridges), but overall just a nice flat easy walk. The younger kids (2-3 yrs) needed some motivation toward the end and were a bit tired. We finished off with an outdoor lunch... More

Try the tea and proposers at their Tea House restaurant. Great food, excellent service. Drop by their gift shop, too. Recommend.
