This is what New England is all about. We camped there for a week and had the most beautiful sunrises. Late September is a great time of the month to go. Less crowds.

Now that we're retired we are trying to see as many National Parks as we can. Acadia is beautiful to say the least! We got to the area late in the day and were told we had to see the sunset from Cadillac Mt. in the park. We drove up there and took some awesome pictures. It was one of... More

Acadia national park has it's uniqueness in the combination of the pink granite stone with the blue color of the ocean together with the colorful foliage at this time of the year. A relatively easy drive on the "loop road" with views of the "sand beach", the thunder hole" and a stop at the "Jordan river" restaurant with local attraction:... More

The staff in this visitor center and very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. It is definitely a good idea to talk to these guys and not just buy your $20 pass and leave. Whether you are hiking or driving, they can give you lots of info and insights on the best places to go. Well worth a stop!

Stop at the visitor center to learn about the park and plan your trip. It's a very beautiful place to visit and spectacular views from each stop around the park. The staff at the center are very helpful and informative. You will be glad you visited this National Park.

The visitor center is a great place to go before you start off for the day. Very helpful staff. The park and scenery are just fantastic. Don't rush though, you need a lot of time to make lots of stops along the way. $20 for a week pass into the park per vehicle but well worth it. Be sure to... More

God's country. It was our first time to Acadia and we will be going back. Your eyes cannot get enough of the beauty that is Mt. Desert Island and Acadia National Park. We visited from September 6 for one week and there was not enough time to cover all we had hoped to accomplish. But, lucky for us, it gives... More

They had wonderful recommendations for things to see and do not only in the Acadia National Park but in the Bar Harbor area! The Acadia National Park is breathtakingly beautiful!
