We did a coach tour from our ship, we took in stunning beaches, fantastic colours, Cadillac Mountain, genuine maple syrup, walks through amazing areas and sights. Our guide was so knowledgeable, the visitor centre was great and we bought far too much, I would love to come back in another season to see what it is like. We had so... More

With a little bit of luck, we were able to snowshoe around Eagle Lake---what a lovely, peaceful time. There are not the huge summer crowds that the park sees in the summer. This park has something to offer every season!

Rangers were very helpful. Displays of wildlife and brochures were well done and informative. Recommend stopping here first on a visit to the park.

We went to Acadia National Park in Bar Harbor Maine during our trip to Maine. It was both beautiful and amazing. The Thunder Hole is amazing (very similar to one called the Blow Hole in Hawaii) but a lot more close by. When we went the fee was waived and we were able to explore on our own this beautiful... We enjoyed this park so much! The visitor center is staffed with knowledgeable and helpful staff. We took the guided bus tour of the park to identify the highlights. Next day, we packed lunch and spent the entire day in the park. Thunder Hole is amazing, be sure to catch it on an incoming tide; the sound and spray is... More

We visited Acadia National Park today, Veterans Day. The VC was closed...on a National Holiday. Fortunately, the normal fee of $20 was waived today, to try to get more Americans into the Park. If it hadn't have been, we would not have visited. We live in a National Park in England where you are not charged to see Mother Nature... More

Beautiful, breath taking panoramic views. Acadia has everything form beautiful beaches to gorgeous mountain peaks. A must see in the fall when the leaves are turning.

Every National Park has its' own specialized Visitors Center. The Acadia VC will give you all the info you might need before starting your day of oohs and ahs. Rangers are very informative and will help you with most anything.
