When we visited the park in spring not all paths were open but we could visit almost all main sites. At the visitor center we took a map and so we could visit the different interesting sites with our car.

We had a great time on a family vacation to Maine June 2009. The park is beautiful with great carriage trails for biking and running. It is very clean and the visitor center for informative and helpful with all aspects of our visit. Weather can be iffy at times with fog getting socked in but on a clear day it... More

We really had a great time at Acadia National Park. They had a lot of information at the visitor center. One of the more impressive sights is viewing the sunrise from the top of Cadillac Mountain. I would recommend this park for anyone.

It contains Cadillac Mountain, the tallest mountain on the Atlantic coast. Charles Eliot, a landscape architect came up with the idea for the park. Upon his death his father, Charles W. (the president of Harvard) and George Dorr,... More

I have been to most of the National Parks in America, Acadia was not on my top 10 list of places left to go but as luck would have it my wife really wanted to go, so off we went. WOW! We had a glorious time throughout the whole park, much different than most parks as there are little towns... More

Made our first stop in Acadia National Park at the visitor center just a few miles away from Bar Harbor. They had a good deal of information on tours and attractions in the park. There was a nice layout of the park showing the roads and points of interest.

We watched the free movie overview, and then picked up an audio tour CD that took us through the park to the top of Cadillac Mountain. Breathtaking views of a beautiful part of our Country. Don't miss it!
