Acadia is a great place to visit especially if you enjoy day hikes. Most trails are dog friendly, you can even take your dog to the Jordan Pond House for lunch. You have to sit outside, so no adult beverages. The trails are from easy and level along the sea to the strenuous hike over Cadillac Mountain.

The center was well staffed and they helped answer any question we had. The drive is easy through the park. Stop at Cadillac Mountain for pictures and walk the trail. Go to picturesque Jordan Pond House for their famous popovers, sit under umbrellaed tables on the lawn and gaze at the scenery. When you're down take a stroll down by... More

tucked away up a hill, the walk from the parking lot is lovely. The usual introductory video, maps, gifts and park guide assistance.

This the most welcoming visitors center we have ever visited. Southern Hospitality in Maine. Hats off to the entire team.

We did a coach tour from our ship, we took in stunning beaches, fantastic colours, Cadillac Mountain, genuine maple syrup, walks through amazing areas and sights. Our guide was so knowledgeable, the visitor centre was great and we bought far too much, I would love to come back in another season to see what it is like. We had so... More

With a little bit of luck, we were able to snowshoe around Eagle Lake---what a lovely, peaceful time. There are not the huge summer crowds that the park sees in the summer. This park has something to offer every season!

Rangers were very helpful. Displays of wildlife and brochures were well done and informative. Recommend stopping here first on a visit to the park.

We went to Acadia National Park in Bar Harbor Maine during our trip to Maine. It was both beautiful and amazing. The Thunder Hole is amazing (very similar to one called the Blow Hole in Hawaii) but a lot more close by. When we went the fee was waived and we were able to explore on our own this beautiful... We enjoyed this park so much! The visitor center is staffed with knowledgeable and helpful staff. We took the guided bus tour of the park to identify the highlights. Next day, we packed lunch and spent the entire day in the park. Thunder Hole is amazing, be sure to catch it on an incoming tide; the sound and spray is... More

We enjoyed cycling, walking and running the carriage trails. Park is beautifully groomed and offers many wonderful views. Strongly recommended! Trails suitable for all skills.
