God's country. It was our first time to Acadia and we will be going back. Your eyes cannot get enough of the beauty that is Mt. Desert Island and Acadia National Park. We visited from September 6 for one week and there was not enough time to cover all we had hoped to accomplish. But, lucky for us, it gives... More

Loved Acadia National Park. The Visitor Center staff was helpful and had an excellent knowledge of the area and the park. They had wonderful recommendations for things to see and do not only in the Acadia National Park but in the Bar Harbor area! The Acadia National Park is breathtakingly beautiful! You enter a world unlike others, there are many... More

We toured the park on a motorcycle. There are so many stops, to see so many great views, that we got tired of getting on and off the bike with the associated helmet and jacket removal. There is a free bus service that I would seriously consider using next time. We loved sitting on the rocks in the less crowded... More

Unfortunately trail heads and paths are not marked clearly in many... More
