Great hike and even better view!

This hike isn't for you if you don't do well with heights. If you don't mind heights this is an amazing hike! My wife and I loved it! The view at the top is definitely worth it!

Once you get to the top, the view is absolutely stunning. It's not a hard trail, but I wouldn't say that's its a breeze if you're not fairly active.

Great walk. The climb at the start is a steep, but worth it when you get there. The rest of the walk is easy. We did it during the fall and the colors were just amazing.

My friends love this trail, I have a small fear of relying on the mental hand and foot rails they have placed in the trail, so I didn't enjoy the hike as I know my friends did. If you have a fear of heights do not attempt. But if you decide to anyway at least it's fairly short-lived.

Great to go in fall season. The vibrant colors of fall foliage and views of the ocean are too good and not to be missed, although the hike itself is challenging (you need hiking boots)

Not for the faint of heart. A tough climb but we'll worth it if you are up to a bit of an adventure. So glad I made the climb

A relatively short hike but as advertised had ladders and narrow ledges. I used it as a practice run to gauge my ability for the Precipice Trail. Gorgeous scenery with views of Sandy Beach.

The Beehive is the second-most exhilarating trail in Acadia only to the Precipice Trail. Not for the faint of heart, but perfectly safe. This trail certainly forced me deal with my fear of heights. This is a very difficult trail in the summer. There is no shade for a majority of the climb and while the views are great, they... More

Park in the sand beach parking lot. Then cross the street to start the beehive trail. About 30 min hike to the summit. If you're up for more adventure, then continue down to The Bowl (lake) via the bowl trail. Then continue the path (marked with blue strip). When you hit the intersection with signs, you can return back to... More

The trail is very cool, sometimes a little bit frightening but the view is just amazing. You always think you already saw the most beautiful view and then it gets even better!
