Get up early and drive to the top of Cadillac Mountain for the sunrise- or you'll regret that you didn't do it! Just make sure if you go in October you bring plenty of blankets and warm drinks! The view is beautiful, and you are surrounded by others also taking in the simple pleasures of nature more

Having already done the Gorham Mountain trail, we felt we had earned our drive to the top! The view from the top is spectacular late afternoon on a clear day and although it was quite busy with people who had also drive, I would definitely recommend heading up Cadillac Mountain. more

I would give this hike a 5 stars but it is not the easiest trail to walk - a lot of rocks, boulders to get over and you need to watch your footing. We arrived at 8:15 a.m. to par at the North Ridge trail head - there is only room for about 12 vehicles and when we returned at... more

My husband and I woke up early to go up to Cadillac mountain for the sunrise. We are so happy we did. It was absolutely beautiful! We also went up for the meteor shower and that was really awesome too. more

I have been there mutliple times and it is alays wwindy at the top and pretty cold no matter what the weather is elsewhere but the views are great. It is like any other of these type of spots if the weather is foggy ro rainy you will have a different experience. more

My review is more like a warning: we wanted to hike to the summit of the Cadillac Mountain, but almost near the top, a storm came up and it became quite dangerous. The wind is strong and I fell four times (luckily without harm). I think this is a wonderfull hike, but if the weather's bad, don't try it. more

Bring a jacket! Went twice.. on a cloudy and clear day. The clear day made for a phenomenal view of bar harbor and its surroundings. On the cloudy day i went up with a bus tour, and spent more time picking free blueberries off the bushes at the top! The road is paved. If you enjoy nice views, definitely go! more

It probably would have made more of an impact on me had it been sunny when I went up there. I had planned to see the sunrise, as it is the first place on the east coast you can see the sunrise, but do you know how early that is?? Crazy early. I'll definitely go back, but my trip up... more

If you have limited time, make sure you don't miss this. It is really the first major thing you come to driving down from the visitor center. It is the highest mountain in the park and on the Atlantic coast and you can drive up there! It is a beautiful 3 mile winding road with beautiful overlooks along the way... more

Everyone knows what wonderful views there are from Cadilac Mountain on a clear day. For something different, go on a day with fog. Not alot, but just enough to see it flowing in Frenchman Bay, covering a Porcupine or two. The day we went there was fog and it was trying to hide the Grandeur of the Seas which was... more
