It's one of the great things to do at Acadia. You can drive up early enough to make it in your car. Check the sunrise times as It's the first place to see the sun on the Eastern Seaboard! I've gone up by car, hike and on a bicycle. There is a really cool summit trail that's a concrete walkway.... More

So grateful to have the opportunity to go to the top of Cadillac Mountain. It was a wee bit foggy this day but we made the drive any way. When we got to the top, a native Maine-er was telling us about how he comes up here just to eat the cranberries, boy was he right! He pointed out the... More

Acadia from the top, below is the surrounding islands. Hike is good for both beginners to advanced. Small children could accomplish this as well, or just could drive to the top :-)

This one is an easy drive up and nice views worth visiting. We went there around sunset (most people do that) and it was a clear day up there. Glad we made the visit.

Worth driving to the top of the mountain... Initially there was a dense fog so we were tensed. But it cleared away quickly and boy! it was great!!. There are cute gift shops and convenient rest areas at the top.

The views from the top of the Cadillac mountain are spectacular. One can spend hours taking photographs or just watching the beautiful nature from the top. Sunrises are especially beautiful. We went twice on top of the mountain and one of the days was extremely foggy, even though we could not see much from the top but the winding road... More

The climbing was tough, but enjoyable as we took in all the picturesque views from different angles of the mountain. The higher we reached, the better view it presented. Due to the time constrain, we didn't get to the very top of the mountain, but what we'd experience was a worthwhile experience.

This was a little unnerving for me because I have a fear of heights but it was worth the white knuckles! The views from up there are awesome! We had picnic up there while enjoying them.

I've climbed Cadillac Mountain in a car (several times). This spot is drop dead gorgeous, the must-see attraction of the park... so you won't be the only one trying to see it! This makes parking not-so-fun for large parts of the day. I've also walked up Cadillac Mountain from the campground. It's a challenging climb, but the views ahead of... More
