Signed up for the one hour tour - open air wagon ride similar to a hayride. It was just okay. My 12 year old son was bored but I enjoyed hearing about the Italian masons who came in and built the road and the rest of the history attached to the carriage roads. It was June and very hot with... What a wonderful time we had seeing the Carriage roads by carriage! We were hoping for the 2 hour tour which was completely booked-- but the one-hour Rockefeller bridge tour was fascinating! Our guide (one of the owners) was knowledgable, funny and actually made the trip very memorable! The facts he told us, the history-- the beauty and peace along... More

We loved the morning 2-hour Mr. Rockefeller's Bridge tour. Ten people rode in the open "carriage," comfortable but not elegant. The driver/guide was knowledgeable and funny, and she was full of trivia about the Rockefellers and the Acadia Park area. We were happy to have the introduction to the park and then to have the day to explore, appreciating the... More

Had to try this again after 10 or so years ago with horses, Bill & Prince. We had a great time. You must try this, we chose the 10:00 am, Carriage ride, Tour of Bridges and it was wonderful. Had Betty & Reba and Mr. Andy our driver and tour guide. It was two hours of peace and relaxation, with... More

We took the bridges tour which took us by a handful of bridges (clearly). They also allowed us to bring our dog in the carriage, even though it wasn't a private tour. Which was awesome.

We took the Rockefeller Bridge tour and thoroughly enjoyed it. Our tour guide, Marie, was wonderful and provided tons of history. She loves her job and it shows. The scenery was stunning. HIGHLY recommended!

On vacation with 2 y/o and pregnant wife, wildwood stables carriage ride was a welcome treat. Our driver jerry was the highlight of the ride with his knowledge of the area, horse team and stories. Not much of an ocean view but great escape into the forest of Acadia It was dry when we went out. Only suggestion is for... More

Lots of fun and beautiful!! The driver has lots of information about the carriage roads and the park. You don't sit for the whole 2 hours, you get out half way through to walk around.

We visited the Stables this summer and absolutely loved our Carriage Ride with Emily, and her beautiful horses Pete and Gub! We also had the privilege of listening to Emily who really knew a lot about the Island, the area and it's history. We hope to get back for another ride in the future! The Family running the Stables does... More
