My wife and I celebrated our 25th anniversary with a trip to Acadia National Park in early June, 2015. We chose the Day Mountain trip which was expertly guided by two lovely young ladies, Taylor and Cat, and of course two stunning horses - Percheron I think - Yogi and Boo Boo. Taylor and Cat were very informative and interactive... More

The staff are very knowledgeable, friendly and the horses and carriages are beautiful!!! You have to try both of the 2 hour tours. They are very pet friendly, We got to take our Boston terrier for his first carriage ride. This is a must do on any ones list of places to go when visiting Acadia National Park.

Had a great tour of the carriage trails and bridges, they can't show all the bridges some are not in areas of the horse trails, and I liked that the horses are cared for and have many breaks. Our carriage ride was very enjoyable..

Betty and Reba (the Percheron horse sisters) took us on a Monday morning tour at the beginning of June. We had planned to go on Saturday afternoon, and called that morning to make reservations. They were booked. We asked about Sunday morning. They were booked. Sunday afternoon? Booked. CALL ahead for reservations!!! We took the 2 hour Mr. Rockefeller’s Bridges... More

Took the Day Mountain Summit tour at 4PM and it was really nice. It was a bit cool the day we went and they had fleece blankets for everyone. The narration by Coleen was great - you can tell she was very knowledgeable and loved what she did. Alyssa was with her training. I didn't have intentions of hiking much... More

Wilwood Stables provides visitors with carrage rides in a variety of routes along the carrage roads of the park. The drivers/ tour guides on our outing were extremely knowlegable about pArk history and environment. The carrage rides offer an opportunity for visitors who do not hike or bike an opportunity to experience the beauty of the park. The

We took the two hour carriage ride which was called Rockefeller's Bridges. Two beautiful horses pulled our carriage through the woods and past three of the stone bridges which we would not have been able to see without taking this trip. Our driver let us get out to explore a little around one of the bridges. The driver was very... More

We waited until the day of to reserve our seats on a carriage ride, and were lucky to get in. (I recommend you call to reserve ahead of time). We were only able to do the one hour Day Mountain loop, but that was still extraordinary. We arrived early, so walking around and visiting other horses added to the experience.... More

I was fortunate enough to be able to join the two hour Rockefeller Bridge Tour today, with Betty, and the team of Willie and Waylon. What a wonderful two hours. It's a great deal and I highly recommend it. NOTE: plan ahead, book at least a week in advance to secure the trip you want. Also, be sure to have... More
