The Tamborine Mountains were an unexpected delight on our day trip up to the mountains from the coast. We spent only an hour walking around due to time commitments and the very hot humid weather. The gardens really are beautiful and free and a lovely place to have a picnic (not sure about barbeque facilities but lots of lovely shady... More

The botanic gardens are slightly off the main road up to Gallery Walk from Oxenford but are well worth the detour. There is good off road parking. The gardens have a good range of paths, from paved and fairly flat through a variety of planted areas to steep climbs through forest sections. There is also a nice boardwalk section through... More

The Mount Tamborine Botanical gardens are well worth a visit when in Mount Tamborine. It is only small compared to other major city Botanical gardens however there is still a lot to see so leave at least one or two hours to stroll around it as there is still a lot to see depending on what is in season and... Went here on a Saturday close to dusk so didn't spend as long as we wanted. This is a great free garden with heaps of flowers and plants to see, well worth dropping in. I believe it's maintained purely by volunteers so drop a couple of dollars into the donation box.

We came across these gardens by accident, and how pleased we did. The gardens are run by volunteers and when we were there, there were plenty of helpers. The gardens are free with good toilets and picnic benches and tables under covers. Beautiful, have a look.

We visited the gardens thinking we would just see something small, the gardens are really beautifull, after a walk through an ideal spot to have a picnic lunch and a glass of wine. There are covered table areas for this purpose as well as shaded grounds for a blanket picnic.
