On a warm winters day the gardens are lovely to stroll around with a coffee in hand. When it is hot in the city this temperate garden would be an oasis to visit in the summer as you could find a nice cool place to put down your picnic blanket. The local garden club volunteers do a fabulous job.

Hidden away in a quiet section of Tamborine are the beautiful botanical gardens. No matter what time of year, this is a lovely place to wander about on the many paths. The paths are well signed and you can either take an extended walk or just sit by the water and relax. You will find orchids, roses, camellias to name... More

We recently visited Mount Tamborine and one of the locals recommended that we visit the Botanical Gardens. Well we were really impressed by the efforts of the local council and community in nurturing such a beautiful place all nestled into the natural rainforest. The variety of flowering shrubbery was not out of place with the majestic gums and rainforest palms.... More

What I love most about these gardens is that they were started by the community and run by volunteers. The gardens are stunning. There are several peaceful outlooks and benches at which to relax and contemplate. The rainforest walk is closed due to maintenance. There is still tons to see. If you are quiet and patient you will see many... More

The bird life at the Gardens is delightful and often you see a family of Tawny Frog Mouths and an Azure Kingfisher that live by the lake. Sadly, water fowl are few as the eels tend to get the young at a fairly early age. As you... More
