Great compact gardens

Had a lovely time wandering through the various gardens at Eagle Heights close to Gallery Walk. There are enough gardens here to spend an hour or two.

I attended a friends birthday gathering in the Gardens. The kids loved it. They were in nature, safe and not surrounded by technology! A well maintained and manicured piece of beautiful land

I am very pleased you enjoyed your visit to the Gardens, and that the children had a wonderful time. It is great seeing young ones discovering eels, or turtles, in the lake, and being able to run around to their hearts content. We are, at present, constructing a children's walk, in a section of the Gardens, with statues, a mill... More

These gardens were set up by local volunteers and Re still maintained by volunteers. Even in August there was plenty of interest and the paths meander through well looked after and varied gardens. My companion thought he knew the area well but had never visited these delightful gardens. The real treat was seeing a Bower bird and its nest.

Thank you for taking the time to review our Gardens, It is much appreciated and I am pleased you enjoyed your visit. It is lovely when you see some treats of nature and to see the Bower Birds bower is something that I have not seen at the Gardens. We have a family of Tawny Frog Mouths that are often... More

Great place to picnic or use the fantastic undercover barbecue facilities. Large lake in the centre and good plantings for seasonal colour. Wisteria walk is pretty in Spring and Japanese garden has magnolias and leads to the Cherry Blossom walk which is best in Spring also. Watch out for the kookaburras, who will steal your sausage on the BBQ. Walk... More

Thank you for taking the time to review the Botanic Gardens. I am pleased that you had such a nice time there. I must point out though that while some people do bring small portable BBQs with them to the Gardens, there are no permanent BBQs at the site. As well as the Kookaburras, you may be lucky enough to... More

Thank you for your review, I am pleased you enjoyed your visit to the Mountain, and to the Gardens. We were lucky to have unseasonable rain which has kicked things along in the Gardens, and the Camellias really benifited from this. I will pass you comments on to the Volunteers who do such a great job. Kind regards The General... More

Had a morning picnic on the grass here the other day before we had a look around the place. Beautiful spot to chill with some cheese and biscuits and a coffee, then went for a walk around the beautifully maintained gardens. A great little retreat and highly recommended visit.

We didn't even realise this place existed. We happened upon it by chance. But it is beautiful. A hidden oasis. Quiet, tranquil, and beautiful. The only thing that I would have loved was a coffee shop so I could sit and drink and take in the beauty.

Thank you very much for visiting our Gardens and taking the time to write a review. I am pleased you enjoyed your visit. I am sorry we do not have a Coffee shop at the Gardens but as a Volunteer organisation, we do not have the people to man a cafe. I am looking at getting a Coffee Van to... More

On a warm winters day the gardens are lovely to stroll around with a coffee in hand. When it is hot in the city this temperate garden would be an oasis to visit in the summer as you could find a nice cool place to put down your picnic blanket. The local garden club volunteers do a fabulous job.
