Loved the geology of this place. Quite a walk to Durdles door in the heat of the summer sun but worth it. Lullworth beach was too busy for me but Durdles door quieter. Swam through and dived off the edge of the arch. The sea was flat calm and clear! One of natures wonders in the area. Even found some... More

If you want to practise your reversing skills in a gravelly car park in a pretty dire condition, Lulworth Cove is the place to come. Short easy walk to the cove itself - but the cove is pretty unexciting: numerous places in the UK are visually far more interesting (and cheaper). A typical rip-off tourist trap. We were tempted to... More

Both Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door are stunning. The local museum is excellent and superbly describes how they were formed and how they will look in the future. They have not changed much since we first visited in 1986 however the number of visitors has increased which reflects the growing and well deserved popularity of the attractions.

A long walk across the cliffs, but magnificent scenery. Broken steps to one beach, so rather awkward to access.

I original visited this beach back in 1973 while on diving trip, it became one of my favourite beaches and which we visited with our children in 1990's. However, we visited man of war bay beach yesterday (Sunday 20/07/2014) and found it to be a total disappointment, the beach was littered with beer cans, vodka glass bottles (some of which... More

World Heritage Site on the Jurassic Coast. Parked up in Lulworth Cove got an awesome portion of fish and chips from Finleys. Walked up over to Durdle Door with amazing views all along the coast from Swanage to Weymouth and Portland. Most definitely worth a visit but just make sure you take plenty if fluids. A lovely pebble beach with... More

Lulworth cove is a lovely little bay, it is a pebble beach though so no sand to relax on, but you can still go in the water if you like, and a lot of people were even in little boats around the cove. On a sunny day it is just gorgeous. You could then either walk to Durdle Door, which... More

Have memories of visiting Lulworth Cove as a child over 50 years ago, so whilst in the area though we had better return. Huge pay and display car park, the rest of the village is mainly pedestrianised. Walked through the visitors centre, but it looked fairly boring with stuff about the areas geology. Plenty of little shops and cafes with... More

This destination was recommended by a friend as a last minute getaway idea. Wow is all i can say, what a fabulous location. Breathtaking views of the cove and durdle door (those with fear of heights I recommend you drive most of the way up) and every day was warm. Would definitely return for a visit :)
