Worth the walk

We were lucky to have blue skys and a nice day albeit quiet windy. Definitely worth the walk down to Durdle Door from Lulworth Cove.

Wanted to visit the site of my wife's first open water dive nearly 30 years later. And was not disappointed it is still a beautiful natural harbour with stones beach. An added bonus was talking to some local divers just coming back from scallop fishing, aroused memories in both myself and my wife. Great day out

stumbled on this place by fluke. Parked easily £5 for 4-6hrs A good walk up the steps to Durdle Door, not for the faint hearted. It's so beautiful here, I wish I lived closer

Amazing views and enormous white cliffs. Rock pools, pebble and sand beach and turqouise waters. Incredible setting. But of course lots of tourists..

Will keep visiting this place as many times as I can. Lost count of amount of times I have been. Always find something new there but still as beatiful as ever. Cream teas are great and even in the height of summer still.managed to get a seat. Whether you have kids or a mature couple this placed not to be... More

We visited in August it was really busy I recommend getting there early. The beach is very small and can get very crowded however the scenery is great and once the tide has gone out its great for rock scrambling and rock pooling. We spent over an hour and a half doing this with our girls. There are places to... More

Fantastic views of our wonderful coastline. Thee aches are clean and fun, tho pebbles so saddles in the water are good. Be prepared to walk a it, but worth it for the views, and ice cream!

We went first on a rainy day and got soaked through and chilled to the bone. Definitely impressive, but really too miserable to appreciate it properly. We went back the next day in the sunshine, and except for the mud it was perfect. The paths aren't uncomfortably steep, and there are steps down to the beaches. The beach on the... More

This place is a favourite in our family, and is a lovely day out. There aren't many facilities around Durdle Door, but the place is beautiful and as long as you arrive prepared you can spend a great afternoon here. Lulworth Cove is equally pleasant, although the water isn't the best for swimming in, and has lovely small shops and... More

It is very busy but you can still find open space to walk, the views are stunning. The tourist centre is the usual overpriced stuff but you get that everywhere, I would definitely take a... More
