Spectacular cove in a natural basin of high cliffs. Several good viewing points, and some lovely walks. Disadvantage..very busy, but to be expected.

Beautiful location and well preserved! Nice little stop over after a long journey. As you enter looks like the entrance to a tourist trap but ignore the restaurants and head straight until you see the sea.

Totally worth the slog up and down the cliff to admire the magesty of Durndle Door. The other rock formations are also weird and wonderful. The horseshoe cove at Lulworth is so pretty. The sea was warm and clean ( swim away from the freashwater stream - that is COLD!!). The dog loved walks one the beach and cliffs. Very... More

We spent the afternoon on the beach at Lulworth Cove, and next morning visited Durdle Door. Both are well worth a visit, although Durdle Door may prove difficult to access for some people, there are still wonderful views from the car park and field.

We visited both Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door today, as part of our week in Devon, and it was a magical experience. Both areas are very popular, as was evident from the huge number of cars at the Lulworth Cove car park, depite it being late afternoon on a Wednesday, in term time (it must be unbearably busy here in the... Lulworth Cove is beautiful, the Village, shops and pubs old world and enchanting, lot's of thatched cottages, plenty of places to eat. A short drive or for the more adventurous ( fit) longer walk away over a steep costal path is Durdle Door, if you drive after a steep walk down the path from the car park prepare to have... More

We enjoy a visit here once a year. The views are stunning, the cove is great for a paddle and there are plenty of places to find lunch or an ice cream.

We parked up and walked down to Durdle Door. This was our first trip and it really is stunning. I think it looks like a dragon drinking up the sea!! My husband says I am barking mad though! The path is a little rocky so choose your footwear wisely and the climb back up is pretty steep but well worth... More

The dilemma - does one walk up the gentle side and down the steep side or vice versa? We did gentle up and steep back which is probably the best option but we were warned and did experience the risk of it being slippery underfoot on the way down.
