I have no experience in Horse riding and they definitely have chosen the right horse for me. The horse was well trained and did everything I told him to do. The trail they chose for the ride was amazing with the small creeks, hills, Waterfall and floras. I felt much closer to the nature than doing all the rush tour... More

Great welltrained horses with all 5 gaits, wonderful nature. Tour was adapted so we split the group after a while and us more experienced went up the mountain to a breathtaking view and waterfall. Really skilled and nice staff and great arrangement with pickup and drop off in reykjavik. My teenage daugther said this was so much better than even... More

In addition to its stables and riding trails north of Reykjavik, Laxness Horse Farm also offers summer horseback riding on Videy Island, just off the Reykjavik harbor. My family and I went horseback riding there last summer and it was one of the highlights of our week in Iceland. You reach the island by a short ferry ride from the... More

It was a great trip through a beautiful countryside. I rode six horses on three days an all were very different and lovely. Elwira and Sven are great guides who like to show you around their farm and tell you everything about the country that you are interested in. The group was small (9 guests plus guides) and we had... The owners were friendly and relaxed and loved their jobs. Our ride was relaxed and we were allowed some flexibility in our ride which is great when you have so many people with so many different levels. The Icelandic horses are so easy going and have some spirit. Loved it.

Riding the icelandic horses at Laxnes is a great experience - they divide you into groups so it is appropriate for both experienced riders and complete beginners. The trek is really beautiful, with great views over the icelandic landscape and flora.

Absolutely amazing experience! Family run business with over 100 horses! Trail ride was great! My parents went on a ride w another company and my dad was disappointed - mine was complete opposite! We waked, trotted, and even galloped a little through beautiful purple flowers and streams and up a mountain to a waterfall! Breathtaking pics! Amazing gentle horses! Would... More

I was staying in Iceland for four nights with some friends and we managed to pack in a LOT of activities in these few days. Horse riding in the middle of rural Iceland with flowing streams, wild flowers and mountains as a backdrop was my favourite thing we did while staying there. Firstly, the horse trainer Harkur individually selects the... More
