We came here in the morning before doing the Golden Circle and it was such a nice way to start our day. The horses were calm but active and ready to go once you hopped on, and the scenery was so nice passing mountains, flowers, and creeks. The whole group stays together on the way out, but coming back they... More

These horses aren't sleepy and disinterested - you'll get a fun ride that has you holding on tight at times (in a good, exhilarating way) all the way through beautiful, rugged landscapes that will have you keeping an eye out for the huldufolk. The owners and guides are nice, there's a strudel and coffee waiting when you return. Make a... More

First time on a horse back. Must do! Felt very safe during the almost 2 hour tour. Would have wish for some more background information on the horses before start.

We went for a horseback ride with this company in January. Needless to say it was terribly cold, which is what we expected. What I did not expect though is that the group was not divided into beginners and advanced, so we all went very slow. We also had a break in between at a plateau and it was so... More

We loved that we decided to take this Icelandic horse riding tour. The horses were adorable and the Laxnes Farm was beautiful and clearly a family-run business that treats their animals and their customers wonderfully! The have all the equipment you need for riding theirs horses. This would be enjoyable for beginners and for advanced riders. The trail we rode... More

After getting lost with the GPS and manually mapping with my phone, we managed to get to our horseback riding tour at just the last minute. We were saddled up within 2 minutes of arriving and since we were a little late, we didn't really get any briefing about the ride. I used to take lessons as a child but... More

This was a great experience! We (2 adults, 2 children, 8 and 12) booked the 10:00 a.m. tour and were early, but Heather wasted no time helping us find our helmets and getting us ready. You really cannot ride with anything else in hand. After everyone else arrived (about 30 total), we were asked how much riding experience we had... More

We booked a combo tour -- horse riding at this farm and the golden circle tour in the afternoon. It was a highlight of our entire trip to Iceland (when, if you visit, you will realize just how great this farm is, because Iceland is amazing!). The owners have been at the farm for decades. Photos on the wall of... More

This farm is in a beautiful setting with a great ride and good staff. I have been riding for 70 year and never rented a horse and had such a beautiful couple hours. The Saloon was a nice touch after the ride before taking folk back to their pickup points. If you ride, the best part is the option for... More

I booked a combo tour of the golden circle and riding horses at this farm. It was one of those once in a lifetime moments! I am so glad I booked the tour! The horses were so wonderful and the family that runs the farm is just great. I do, however, wish that I wore clothes that were easy to... More
