I and my two grown up kids have never been on a horse before, so we thought we would try this out. What great fun, the girls who rode with us were very alert, but didn't jump in straight away which was good. My horse at some point thought he was in the grand national as he started to run... More

Icelandic horses are vey easy to ride. I was surprised how gentle, yet sure-footed these horses were. Would love to come back for a longer ride. My feet got a bit cold, I would recommend warm socks and may be toe warmers for winter rides.

We were very keen to have a chance to ride the Icelandic horse while visiting. Two reasons - I'm am experienced rider and wanted to feel at least one of the two unique gates which these horses run with. Also we just wanted to have a fun outing to see a bit more of the country side out of a... More

This is a very beautiful, dramatic and exciting place to go horse riding. Since they have boots, rain coats and helmets you don't need to think about bringing anything. Highly recommended!

Went Icelandic horse riding as part of an excursion arranged through Icelandair and was not disappointed. This was a replacement for whale watching which doesn't operate beyond September but had so much fun riding the horses in the wilderness just outside of Reykjavik. I have never riden before but it was quite simple once I got the hang of it,... More

About 15 of us in a group. They provided helmets and pants or coats as needed. Boots too if you needed. Matched you to a horse based on skill and comfort. Gave a little instruction. Nice long ride out and the horses were definitely spirited. Enjoyed being able to go about at more than a walk. Beautiful scenery. Nice staff.

My boyfriend and I did this tour as part of the Viking Horse Riding Tour and The Golden Circle Afternoon tour with Gray Line. After arriving at the farm and greeted warmly by the family and their dog, it was time to gear up. They fit you one by one in the suits to wear over your clothes, helmets and... More

Visited here on a recent trip to Iceland and this did not disappoint!! The welcoming is great the people are very friendly and has a real personal family business touch to it and think they may own one of the cutest dogs ever there!! But back to the horses they cater for people with all different riding abilities I have... More

We were recommended this stables by my dive guide, and he was right, it was excellent. The ponies were all well looked after and the route we took was stunning. If you can ride well, let them know and they'll give you a more 'forward' pony, but all levels were on the ride and everyone seemed to enjoy it. Snow... More
