I booked a morning ride with this company over others based on the TA reviews. I really wanted to ride an Icelandic Horse as they look so friendly and gentle and the reviews indicated that beginners were catered for. I was picked up on time by a nice gentlemen and when we arrived at the farm, a sweet lady sorted... More

I booked the "Day at the Farm", which was a great experience as I've not been riding here in winter. The scenery is even better in winter. Take advantage of the gloves, overalls etc, because it gets cold out there, toes and fingers freeze.. Lovely ride, horses are chosen and assigned to riders' ability and experience, the horses I rode... More

We did this as part of the Viking Horses and Golden Circle afternoon tour with Icelandic Excursions and we were not disappointed. The horses are obviously well cared for and straight after our ride they were fed and then let out into the field for a well earned break before the afternoon ride. They provide waterproof coats, trousers, boots, gloves... More

We went on a super cold day, but I have never met a more friendly family. There was baked pastries and coffee for us after we were out with the horses. Such a great atmosphere, not to mention the horses were really great and easy to ride. Definitely the company to go with!

Lovely little farm with beautiful surroundings. The horses were all lovely, was my first time riding and was shown what to do and felt like a natural after 5 mins. After roughly an hour we hop off the horses for 10 mins for a photo and probably give my horse a break. Then back on the horses split into 2... More

Great morning out. Picked up by friendly chap on time in a clean minibus. 20 minute transfer. Suited up quickly at the farm. Greeted by two lovely dogs. Matched with horses and encouraged to give them a scratch. We are a mixed ability family of four with two children aged 11 and 13. Our daughter who has ridden quite a... More

My sister and I were excited to go horse back riding on real Icelandic horses so we were very much looking forward to this experience. When we arrived we were warmly greeted by the man who runs the farm/company as well as his friendly dog. The staff were helpful in getting us all set up on our horses and off... More

We're a family of four (kids age 12 and 8) and we went on the "Viking Horse Riding" excursion as part of an Icelandair tour. The farm and owners are lovely and welcoming, and the transfer from Reykjavik was smooth and on time. The farm provide waterproof jackets and trousers, hats and boots as required, and if you have time... More

The weather was awful and our planned whale watching trip was cancelled. Last minute we booked our family of 5 to go and meet the Icelandic horses and go for a ride. Despite the snow and wind they were saddled up and we were given very warm riding suits. Off we went on a 11/2 hour hack through snow, ice,... More
