It was humbling to be so close to these huge serene mammals And the playful dolphins along side the boat

We choose raja because of the great reviews. We had high expectations, which were all fulfilled. Pickup at the hotel, snacks and breakfast on the boat. They even provided pills against sea sickness. We saw several blue whales, bryde's whales and dolphins. I definitely recommend raja and the whales!

Seeing blue whales is worth the trip. The animal is impressive and we got to see 5 of them, which was amazing. The guys from Raja and the Whales are all right. They give you breakfast and do not disturb the whales as much as the other whale watching companies (there are plenty of them in Mirissa). So they didn't... More

That was a very pleasant experience. We did the whale watching with Raja and the Whales because we read in lonely planet, that they care about the whales and don't do "whale hunting". It's true what lonely planet sais! We had a wonderful trip on which we saw a brydes whale. The trip also included a breakfast that was presented... More

Had a wonderful morning with the crew on board today. Each & everyone of them seemed to have genuine passion for the whales we were going to see. But looking at previous negative reviews, I feel impelled to point out that when you sign up, you are not going to Whale Disneyland. You set to sea on the Indian Ocean.... More

First let me say that Raja and the Whales are excellent at what they do. From start to finish the staff were helpful, friendly and looked after us fantastically well, and we felt as if we were in safe hands. They also seemed to have genuine concern about the welfare of the whales, and a huge understanding and knowledge of... More

We knew that it was out of season when we booked our trip with Raja, but we had heard and read so many great things about their respect for the whales and the service. We had booked our day far in advance and when we showed up it turned out we were the only passengers that day. Despite there being... More

This is not our first trip with Raja. Previously we were very lucky and saw loads of whales and dolphins. But you always roll the dice with these trips and we were not so lucky this time. The weather was a bit rough and many of the other tourists were throwing up, despite the free sea-sickness pills and ginger biscuits.... More

Breakfast, snacks, pills for sea sickness, photographs of the whales emailed to us after... all these make up the reason why I would be willing to pay just a tad more to ensure we get what we came for. Other places were quoting us just 2500/ 3000 but we chose to go with Raja & the Whales, and we were... More
