We are a local family, providing environmental and sustainable whale watching in Mirissa, Sri Lanka. We are very proud that we are recommended in the new Sri Lankan lonely planet and by so many users of tripadvisor. I would recommend this company in the first place because they seem to care and do respect the law concerning the animals protection, which makes them professional, unlike many other boats which seemed to be chasing the whales and did not respect the minimum distance at all. They took good care of us, making sure we would not get sea... More

We booked Raja and the Whales on the recommendation of our guest house owner in Unawatuna and I am so glad we listened to them. The crew was very professional and very determined to make the experience a memorable one. What really impressed us was the way they felt about the whales. We spotted a blue whale with in 20... We booked this trip before we went by email based on reviews. I am so glad we went with this company. Very professional. The staff were great. We were given sick tablets before we left. We then seemed to eat and drink for most of the trip. We saw a blue whale within 20 minutes of being on the boat.... More

Raja and the Whales are the ones to go with if whale watching. You get treated very well. Food and sickness pills and bags are provided. They know what they are doing and are ethical too. I will choose these guys every time and without doubt. We saw many Dolphins and few Whales. I was more than happy with my... More

First time on a whale watching boat and my expectations have certainly been raised. Everything about the trip was fantastic from the knowledge of the crew to the food and drink onboard. We were the first to spot the magnificent Blue Whale and always seemed to be in the best position when it rose to the surface for the photo... More

If you're planning on doing a whale watching trip in Mirissa then choose this company, they are the best. We were very impressed with their approach and professionalism. We were picked up from our accommodation, served a great breakfast and briefed very well on what we were looking for. Our boat was the first on the day to see a... More

The guys of Raja and the Wales definetly know what they are doing. They offer great Blue Whale Watching tours, they tell you a lot about the Blue Wales, they provide life vests, tea, coffee, water and breakfast, and: you acctually get to see Blue Wales (which they approach in a species-appropriate way, in contrast to most of the other... The whale watching with Raja turned out to be one of the most memorable experiences in Srk Lanka. The trip was conducted by very professional staff who will teach you how to identify different whales. They offer tea, breakfast and fruits as well as unlimited water all way along. The company which started the business since 2008 (one of the... More
