We visited this winery and the proprietor gave us many tastes of different kinds of wine. We really appreciated his knowledge and friendliness. Also, it was interesting to know that he grew all of his own grapes for the wine making. He answered all of our questions and was very informative. We bought some of his award winning port.

This is an out of the way winery, with a tasting room, and bistro. Super friendly owner working the tasting room, who gave a full and complete history of the property and the progression of their selection of wines and vines. Definitely a must stop and taste location, the Port styles are very good with a different taste.

The tastings are a bit small, but the wine is very nice. We purchased the first bottle of Javier's latest release before it even had a label on it. Sure to be an award winner. Worth stopping and checking out.

We were very impressed with Xavier's extensive knowledge about the wines and wine making. Did you know it's not the grapes that make a great wine? It's the soil!!! And they have 14 different solid to grow outstanding wines. We filled up on bottles to enjoy with friends back home.

Last night, we took a short drive from Victoria to check out the Amuse Bistro for dinner. On May 1st the bistro moved from Unsworth Vineyard to Cherry Point and my partner had read about the restaurant in the Vancouver Magazine (recommended as a top restaurant). We had one of the best dinners ever! We were offered inside or outside... More

Maturing coolly in our wine cabinet in Melbourne is a bottle of Solera Blackberry, acquired from owner Xavier Bonilla after a good chat and a tasting of this amazing elixir. A solera style wine made from blackberries? Try it before you knock it and see if you can resist it! This was after a most pleasant drive through delightful Cowichan... More

We have been to many wineries over the years but this trip was our first one to Vancouver Island wineries. Overall, we were pleasantly surprised by the attractiveness of the wineries, quality of the wine and the knowledge of the folks working at the winery stores. Cherry Point is a beautiful location. They have been a seasonal charming restaurant/private function... More

Stopped at this winery on a tour of vineyards/wineries and I must say, it was the best! The wine tasting was so informative as the owners explained a great deal about the art of growing grapes and producing different types of wines and port. We sat outside on a fabulous terrace on a gorgeous sunny day. The gardens and trees... More

Although their bistro is not yet open, we had a fantastic time enjoying a tasting at this unbelievably beautiful winery. We want to come back when we can visit the bistro as well. What we appreciated is that during the tasting we were given just that, a taste. Being a wine lover, it may sound odd that I just want... More

This was our online vineyard visit as part of our girl's trip of the NW. So we had to remind ourselves that we were not in a hurry and we just needed to enjoy the experience. The Bistro service was incredibly slow yet friendly. The dining hall seemed more like a flexible space sometimes used for events and sometimes used... More
