Footfalls Walking Holidays was founded in 1994 by Christopher and Teresa...

Footfalls Walking Holidays was founded in 1994 by Christopher and Teresa Stacey. We wanted to share our love and interest in the great outdoors with others so we started guiding individuals and groups in the Wicklow Mountains.

Before long we were getting requests from our customers to see more of Ireland than just Wicklow and also do self-guided tours. Today we have expanded to where we are offering guided and self-guided tours to almost every corner of Ireland, Scotland, Wales and the Lake District. Despite out growth almost all of our tours are guided by us, Christopher and Teresa, to guarantee that personal touch.

In July 2015, 8 family members (ranging from 16 to 58 years) did the eight-day, self-guided Kerry Way hiking tour arranged by Footfalls. We had a GREAT time, in beautiful surroundings and with nice accommodations. We loved the adventure of walking from place to place on a trail that was very well waymarked. We appreciated the detailed maps and directions... More

My wife and I took the Cork and Kerry guided tour in late September. The tour exceeded our expectations and Chris is a superb tour guide. His even demeanor and direct responses are comforting. He gauges hikes based upon the collective capabilities of the group and rounds out each walk with details about the terrain, history and plants. The accomodations... More

My sister and I went on the September, 2015 Donegal/Antrim hiking tour. We could not have been more pleased with the experience. The group is kept small (10-13 people); and we were able to bond with the group quickly. The hikes were through some of the most gorgeous country imaginable. Christopher owns Footfalls and personally guided our group. The hikes... More

In August 2015 my sister & I took our second guided hiking trip with Footfalls. This time is was the Wales & Wicklow week. As on the Glens of Antrim hike, the hike locations were stunning. I enjoyed the Wales portion of the week more than the Wicklow but only because we had been in Wicklow before. Because of our... More

Thank you very much for taking the time to write this review and for you nice comments. You are correct we only allow good people onto our tours and you were definitely one of those. You are correct our trails are narrow and thankfully so as we do not want to destroy our beautiful countryside with big wide paths. If... More

We started out in Castletownbere and ended in Dingle Town. Christopher is a national treasure for Ireland. His professionalism, empathy, knowledge, and leadership made our trip memorable. He personally attended to all the details the entire trip and even used his mojo to keep the rain from falling. I have travelled through 55 countries and Ireland stands at or near... More

We had the good fortune of experiencing a number of walks/hikes throughout Ireland during our 10 night vacation. Our favorite was with Charles O'Byrne that we scheduled thru Footfalls. We met at the Glendalough Visitor's Center and for the next 5 plus hours we had a memorable day. We visited the monastic settlement founded by St. Kevin. Walked around the... More
