Quiet and peaceful. Share the site with the sheep. So much history - I wish it could talk to me. Not much signage but you can tell what's what (kind of). Would go again. Just make sure you watch where you walk.

My group of 33 people visited here to watch a short demonstration of the sheep dogs at work herding the sheep and it was amazing. Those dogs couldn't wait to get started and it was fascinating to watch them respond to the whistles and signals from the farmer. There is also a wide variety of sheep on display which you... More

We recently visited the Kells Sheep Centre as part of a Trafalgar Tour. Despite, the pouring rain, we had covered shelter and an excellent demonstration of sheep herding. It was well-worth the stop, and enjoyed by our tour group. Our guide seemed unphased by the torrential downpour, and was a true professional. Excellent!

We saw these dogs work on our trip with CIE tours. This is a farm on the ring of Kerry. Sheep farmers in Ireland have experienced a huge decline in the price in recent years, so farms such as this one, that has been in the family for 5 generations, have to offer tourists a peek to stay afloat. These... More

Well worth a stop and the modest charge for Kells Sheep Centre. Educational and entertaining for the entire family. The border collies put on a terrific show.

This was a "must see" for us on our recent visit to Ireland. Fun and educational, and fascinating to watch Brendan and his dogs work together as a team. We watched the show a couple of times and Brendan was kind enough to answer our many questions. He is engaging and gracious. His skill as a dog trainer is so... More

Tour driver said this would be the best 5 Euro we'd spend in Ireland and he was right. Worthwhile, fascinating demo.

We stopped here at the recommendation of our tour driver on our way around the Ring of Kerry. I'm so glad we did! It's just around 30 minutes long, and only 5 euro to get in. Brendan Ferris is extremely informative and engaging. He was willing to answer everyone's questions, and was gracious enough to pause to allow someone in... More
