Of all the courses I played in Ireland, this one was my favourite in terms of layout - out from the clubhouse through the dunes, and back along the top of the beach. I asked the Pro if I could play with someone who knew the course, and he was very accommodating in finding a member who offered to take... More

I played on my own as I was on a family trip so was only allowed out for a quick round. The course is varied and was longer that I thought it was going to be but they do have 5 holes rated as par 5's. The draw of this course is the fantastic surroundings with views to die for.... More

What a disappointment to find such poor greens in such a beautiful setting In a trip playing as many courses as possible on the West Coast we found this course really lacking the greens really need some attention grass less bumpy hard 2/3 blind fairways with rough in line with markers Would recommend walking the course or playing with a... I was part of a group of nine who played over a couple of days, we took a couple of breakfasts, an evening meal (when the restaurant stayed open for us!) and played three rounds of golf. Everything was very good, the course is difficult and demands long straight shots all the time, take plenty of balls and a buggy.... More

This is a fabulous part of the Republic of Ireland. I am reviewing the whole area as I stayed here 6 days from 14 - 19 May 2014, with friends from Scotland who were there staying for a wedding. I stayed in a lovely cottage in Portnoo right near the Narin & Portnoo Golf Club, I visited here though didn't... More

Played golf here twice last week, tough ,long, interesting , links course. some spectacular views and settings for tees and greens. the cafe/restaurant was a pleasure to return to, scones and cream enjoyed along with toasted sandwiches which made the talking over the highs (and lows) of the course all the better

Fantastic setting in the midst of rural Donegal, great views of the Atlantic from a good testing golf course. Friendly clubhouse, good food and a true Irish welcome

We arrived at 10 from Foxford and checked in and proceeded to the 1st tee. Both of us hit wonderful drives right dow n the center of the fairway only to discover it was the 18th fairway. We let a 2 ball in a buggy go ahead of us and off we went. A mild breeze for Donegal during the... More

Played the course in Mid December 2013 strangely dry and windless conditions. Greens were amazing especially at this time of year. Course in great condition. Have played many times in summer and course is a lot more difficult with fast undulating greens. Views to die for especially walking down 8th toward the green/sea and on the 8th and 15th tees.... This is a wonderful example of a natural links course. It is in superb condition and enjoyable for all handicaps except perhaps a total beginner. We had a most enjoyable round of golf on this lovely designed true links course
