We have 4 golfers who had the best time on this unusual course. Being from America we don't typically see this type of terrain. Everyone had a blast.

Lovely course with great views. Club house has extremely accommodating staff, no stuffiness, tasty food at reasonable prices. Could have better vegetarian options

Not many people have heard of this course in the USA, but it is truly a hidden gem. The course starts out gently for 6 holes but then dashed up into dramatic dunes for the next 11 holes. Spectacular views accompany you for the ride. Quirky holes add to the joy of unwrapping this gem. Nice clubhouse and friendly staff... More

Ah!....Portnoo... Played it 3 times while on holiday this year. Magnificent links course...a real test of golf.....especially when the wind blows ...as it did on the last occasion. 3 par 5's in a row!! Bring lots of balls if the wind blows ...the rough is serious! Absolutely Brilliant!!!!

We went in for a late pint, the entire bar was on the dance floor, mighty crack, had a few pints and enjoyed the great smoking area.No complaints!

Of all the courses I played in Ireland, this one was my favourite in terms of layout - out from the clubhouse through the dunes, and back along the top of the beach. I asked the Pro if I could play with someone who knew the course, and he was very accommodating in finding a member who offered to take... More

I played on my own as I was on a family trip so was only allowed out for a quick round. The course is varied and was longer that I thought it was going to be but they do have 5 holes rated as par 5's. The draw of this course is the fantastic surroundings with views to die for.... More

What a disappointment to find such poor greens in such a beautiful setting In a trip playing as many courses as possible on the West Coast we found this course really lacking the greens really need some attention grass less bumpy hard 2/3 blind fairways with rough in line with markers Would recommend walking the course or playing with a... I was part of a group of nine who played over a couple of days, we took a couple of breakfasts, an evening meal (when the restaurant stayed open for us!) and played three rounds of golf. Everything was very good, the course is difficult and demands long straight shots all the time, take plenty of balls and a buggy.... More
