The house itself is not so amazing, but the views are spectacular! The bus ride takes about 20 min and since you get there, if you don't plan on eating at the restaurant, one hour is more than enough. In the chic elevator you get most of the "history feeling", other than that it is worth it for the fresh... More

Absolutely worth a trip! You park in a car park area and take buses up to the site. (16E round trip). Once you arrive just choose what time you want to take the return bus then take the tunnel to the elevator and it brings you right there. Enjoy the history and scenery.

We planned on walking up but arrived late in the afternoon so didn't have the time so we ended up taking the bus. At £16+ per adult I think it is a little pricey, especially when nobody seems to know what queuing or basic manners are unless British (harsh but unfortunately it seems to be true). The views from the... More

Our trip was badly organised by Thomson/crystal holidays. So it could have been so much better You catch a bus from the car park where the documentation centre is, and this takes you up to the Eagles Nest. This is now a restaurant. Unfortunately all the information was in German, so you only really get to look at the views... More

The Eagles nest is reached by a coach from the documentation centre or you can take a very long arduous hike. Having reached the bus stop go the kiosk to get your ticket stamped with the return time you choose. Walk along the tunnel ( Which still has the original light fittings) to the brass lined lift which takes you... More

I thoroughly enjoyed the views at Eagle's Nest. The weather was great...a little nippy...and the views were pretty awesome. You'll have to catch a bus up to the entrance. I can't remember exactly how much it cost, but it was not expensive. After you go through the tunnel (it's kinda cool), you go up in an elevator and you are... More

What a beautiful location. If you go there for a history you will be disappointed. If you go there for a nice 3 hr hike and the view you will be a happy person:) hopefully you will have a good weather and will be able to see 360 view. There is a bus if you prefer. 15 min ride to... More

We didn't pay for e guided tour, but decided to head out on this adventure on our own. It was a good price for four people including the bus ticket both ways (65€). Once to the top he view was amazing, but slowly started to fade away with the clouds coming in. There were a few souvenir shops near the... More

I think this attraction is overrated. Sure, the surrounding nature and view is beautiful (but you get that in any part of Alpes), but there is nothing to see really. There is a restaurant in the chalet, which serves good Bavarian cuisine. However, there is almost nothing that shows this was once Hitler's birthday present and vacation spot. There were... More

We booked a tour from Berchtesgaden which took 4 hours and cost €106 for 2 people. I think it was money well spent especially for us as we are interested in ww2 history and have some knowledge of the area and people that lived there. Our guide pointed out many sights and gave in depth information on our route up.... More
