The admission fee was quite high for a park that is quite dated. The aquarium was very small and the tanks were not clean. The views from the lighthouse were pretty, but generally not worth the price of admission.

On thanksgiving day we decide to pay them a visit, to my surprise is a complete package, they have a unique display of the history of Puerto Rico was. The aquarium was a plus, I wasn't specting this. The view, just looking at the view cover what we paid for the entrance.

This is more than a lighthouse. It is also a place to experience history. It is very interactive and seems like a lot of fun for children. We were there at the end of the day and enjoyed watching the sunset. They give you a coupon for a 15% discount at their restaurant across the street with its own parking.... More

The park has several areas but all with the exception of the lighthouse seem to be in dis repair. The three wood ships that can be boarded by visitors are starting to look thier age, and have sections closed. The pirate ship is completely closed to the public. The pirate cave and aquarium could use some better lighting, and the... More

This visit would have been more enjoyable if the entry fees were more reasonable. Our grandkids had more fun at the free beach adjacent.

We love lighthouses. We love history. We HATED this place. It was extremely pricey to get in, and we walked into a little kid's playground. That isn't exactly what I think of when I think "historical park." We walked up to the lighthouse, which in and of itself was underwhelming. Inside of the lighthouse there wasn't much in the way... Arecibo lighthouse and historical park is a great spot to spend the day with the kids. It has a very small zoo with a few domestic animals (no petting), I loved the recreations of the puertorrican scenes like the tainos batey (ceremonial park) spaniards conquest, african and traditional puertorrican house. The lighthouse is well kept and has amazing view. The... More

The Arecibo Lighthouse is just amazing! Words cannot explain they way I felt when I was there! You learn a lot about the history of Puerto Rico when conquered by Christopher Columbus, the history with the Indios Tainos, the slaves so forth and so forth! Stunning views for awesome and memorable pictures!
