Arecibo lighthouse and historical park is a great spot to spend the day with the kids. It has a very small zoo with a few domestic animals (no petting), I loved the recreations of the puertorrican scenes like the tainos batey (ceremonial park) spaniards conquest, african and traditional puertorrican house. The lighthouse is well kept and has amazing view. The... More

The Arecibo Lighthouse is just amazing! Words cannot explain they way I felt when I was there! You learn a lot about the history of Puerto Rico when conquered by Christopher Columbus, the history with the Indios Tainos, the slaves so forth and so forth! Stunning views for awesome and memorable pictures!

Here there is a nice Family Aquatic Park, the Lighthouse an aquarium, and some wood ships simulating Christopher's Columbus ships he used to discover America. In overall a nice family place to spend the day.

The place is spacious and fun to take small kids in a hot, sunny day... To take advantage of all facilities and get your money's worth, try to get there at around 10 am. You'll see pretty much everything in about 2 hours. Bring pool attire or wear light clothes. That's because, after taking in the sites, you'll want to... More

Attractions need maintenance and some update. Additional some guides that can explain historical moments.

I've never been so a shame and disappointed!! The view, "museum / aquarium" and light house are beautiful but information boards were lacking text information and are SOOOO faded you need to guess what it says...The young staff working there lack any knowledge and where always on the phone FB,text, etc with no care of who was waiting to speak to... We discovered this place while looking for a beach area to kill time in Arecibo. My 19 year old daughter and 9 year old son loved the water area! The petting zoo was small but nice. There were replicas of Columbus's ships that you could explore, Blackbead's Queen Anne's Revenge (which was closed), a mock Taino village, and a Pirate's... More

Just a beautiful lighthouse to visit. They have a petting zoo, aquarium and water park so it makes for a nice, cheap outing for families! Great photo ops as well.

Easy to locate, you pay for parking & admission. Historical Lighthouse has artifacts and you are able to visit upper level of lighthouse (via spiral staircase) which allows you to appreciate view of Arecibo and the ocean. Also pirates cave with underwater view of aquarium are really cool. They also have a small taino indian village, zoo, water park, and playground... More
