Juney whank falls is on the same trail as Toms Branch Falls and Indian Creek Falls, all three can be seen within a less than 2 mile hike. Juney Whank is the only one with a bridge that crosses the river right at the falls. It even has a built-in seat, so you can sit and enjoy the falls close... More

Again, the NPS classifies this as easy. To me, easy means anyone can do it, even senior citizens. Well even though we were amateur hikers and did not have a problem, there is NO WAY a senior citizen could do this without help. It is short but is steep incline all the way. The trail is not paved and is... More

Not to far from parking lot... A good family hike to a good sized water fall. Nice bench for viewing. Summer time provides for nice flowers.

Juney Whank Falls near Bryson City in God's great Smoky Mountains is absolutely beautiful. A short easy hike takes you through a visually stunning forest teeming with wildlife and seeing the falls themselves leaves you feeling incredible.

We visited Juney Whank Falls on our trip to Deep Creek to hike to other falls. This is the smallest of the three in the area and is nice because you can get very close, on the footbridge, and even sit a spell on the bench. You need to enjoy climbing as the trail is quite steep from either direction... More

I agree with others--the walk from the parking lot trailhead is rather steep. However, it is a really short walk (only .3 of a mile) so I think most people in reasonably good shape should have no problem with the walk. {I believe the NPS does say the walk is a "moderate" hike.} After viewing the falls you can turn... The way up is pretty steep. My eleven year old had no problem going up the trail but I think it would have been a little difficult for my younger children. There is a bridge with a bench on it when you get to the waterfall. Very beautiful waterfall. There is a rock on the side of the fall that... More

Great place for hiking with family, tons of kid playing in the stream near by, then it got all quiet when you walk deeper in. There are camping and picnic around parking area, wish we had whole day planned at this place.
