This place is more excellent from karnataka side , Kerala side most of the places we cannot access because of plantations and all. Karnataka side kabani is less populated less touristic and empty . Kabani is a whole river so different part will give you different experience / one of the best area - Begur to kabani road

Though the resort we stayed claimed it to be adjacent to the beautiful Kabani river, what we found is only a small canal filled with mud making us very disappointed as we went in the month of September(time of Monsoon).

The Kuruva Island is a great place and you cross the river in a boat and the ride is short but enjoyable. You are allowed to visit only a short space on the island. Sometimes wild elephants do come to this place.

The place is not really great to write about. You can vest other nearby paces. The river is narrow and no rafting is possible for enthusiasts.

There is lots of ayurvedha trees in this river side. The starting point is Kuruvaisland. Even kids can enjoy this river in the dry season. the monsoon season is not good to visit here.
